The Battle Bar, Our Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy

I'd say they're worth doing for the story content alone, though yeh I definitely prefer playing the game single player as much as I can. Being in a party can be quite distracting though group convos are pretty cool. Obviously I can understand not doing warzones as they're pretty pointless storywise.

I always run hm lvl 55 fp's to get the best gear, my lvl 55 guardian has a full set of elite gear, except for the chest, which is ultimate gear. I dare not try the nightmare ops, even with my guild, since they're extremely difficult and require perfect coordination and what not

Man, the guy living downstairs is playing some hard-core death metal. ****ing sucks.

I hate that kind of music. Just sounds like stupid screaming.

Agreed. I tried and search some of it up on YouTube, some of it is about raping and cutting women. Have no idea how anyone can listen to that kind of music, let alone that loud.

No, just no. This guy makes no sense. Yoda's not good because he's not able to perfect his preferred form, but instead "borrows" elements from other forms to compensate for his form's lack of defensive elements?

Borrowing elements from other forms to make up for what one's form doesn't possess, is perfecting one's form, hence why having mastery over more than one form can be a big advantage. How else does one perfect his chosen form?

Regardless, an ataru practitioner doesn't even necessarily need to have working knowledge of other forms to learn how to defend himself. That can also just come from experience in saber dueling period.

This guy doesn't know what he is talking about.

That guy says Vader would beat Yoda lol.

lol

These two points sound like I'm contradicting myself. lol

What I mean by the second one, is that Yoda wouldn't even need to have mastery or even much knowledge over other forms to learn how to defend himself, but he would still be borrowing elements from other forms without even realizing it, assuming that defense is restricted to certain saber forms only.

lol

The video is... not great. So that's a thing.

Hahaha, yeah I disagree with him on quite a lot, though it is still fun to listen to while I'm playing Swtor.

For instance, in his Yoda vs Plagueis video he gives Yoda the edge in terms of Force abilities since 'Plagueis doesn't seem to use his in battle, preferring for straight lightsaber fights' while ignore that Yoda does the exact same goddamn thing, being pointedly against attacking opponents with the Force! Meanwhile Plagueis' Force attacks are considerably more destructive and suited for combat, while Yoda limits himself to throwing things around and weak Force pushes.

Though he is right about the Yoda fight in AotC being shit, since many of their "attacks" wouldn't hit even if the opponent hadn't of blocked and were solely to look cool.

Nope.
The point about Dooku failing to "just" slide his saber down into Yoda's face is completely off-base. Lightsabers lock. That is kind of a big deal. I remember having this discussion at least once before.

Well yeah, thats wrong. Kind of embarrasing for him too since he writes for Wookieepedia. But I think my point stands about the technique shown being crummy.

I still don't like the idea. Visually, the battle was flashy and I have no complaints. Conceptually, two precogs fighting will include an array of diferent maneuvers and tactics unseen in conventional (IRL) fights.

So, like, maybe the only reason the attacks don't look like they are going to land is because the two highly trained and precognitive swordsmasters are already on top of that shit.

👆 This is precisely my rationalization for the acrobatics and seemingly impracticable maneuvers we see in these duels.

OMG, this guys Ventress vs Sedriss video is pissing me the hell off. He decides that Luke taking Sedriss out in a single panel with a Force push indicates that Luke was so threatened by Sedriss in lightsaber combat he HAD to beat him that way! Based on the flimsiest of arguments. Then he gives Sedriss the win in terms of the Force on nothing. Faulty evidence. It wasn't a "special technique" that was required to beat his Force Choke, Luke was just commenting on learning how to block Force chokes period!

How is it that his longest video is also his worst???

Sure, or it could just be shitty choreography from Dooku having to duel with an invisible puppet.

PT battles were meant to convey pazazz, not practicality. Real-world fencing is much different and far more visually boring.
