1. Don't let him dictate the arguments. If you feel you are spinning plates everywhere, come back to basics. The weakest arguments are weak at the root, not the branch.
2. Don't be afraid to compare ludicrous points to even more ludicrous analogies when necessary. Like the Kenyans versus samurai. Oftentimes debators will create standards of their own and then argue them into fact instead of debating as a whole. See fallacy: red herring.
3. Ignore the toadies. Soap box debators love it when people support them without due consideration. Remain focused on him.
4. Requote yourself if you already answered something. Don't spend tons of time rewording it since he'll probably just pick it apart or use semantics to turn it against you.
