This is not surprising. Quite a few men online think it's okay to be pushy and possessive of women, because they have the barrier of partial anonymity and they can control the social interactions better than they could in-person. Most of my female friends online deal with unwanted and disgusting behavior by young men who can't seem to grasp that women have things like feelings and minds and rights. It's really sad.
