The only thing that comes close is Assassins Creed II.
lol

Dark Souls, Kotor 1 + 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Metro: Last Light, Fallout: NV, L.A. Noire, the orginal Deus Ex, The Walking Dead, Final Fantasy 9, Total War: Rome, Warcraft 3, Red Dead Redemption, Spec Ops: The Line, Shadow of the Colossus, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time and of course my two persona-l favorite games, Persona 3+4 are also all games that are as good or better than Human Revolution imo.

Icarus has nothing on Persona music:

Dat engrish.

Maybe this new Tomb Raider too if its this good all the way through.

Oh shit, I forgot Planescape. Also Chrono Trigger, ICO, Thief II: The Metal Age, 999, Arkham Asylum + City, System Shock 2. Morrowind, Portal, Half-life 2, Earthbound, Mother 3 and I guess FF7.

The Thief games and the original Deus Ex.. That maybe it..

I don't think I would call it the best of all times (but it's close), however I've replayed KotOR more times than any other game.

KOTOR was great. But I wouldn't put it in the same league as the Assassins Creed or Deus Ex games.

Yeah me either. KotOR has too many Bioware cliches to be a unique or strong game anymore.

However, if you're talking purely storytelling, Silent Hill's symbolism and theme usage blows away just about any game in existence. There's a lot of stuff hidden below the surface that undermines anything you think you know about the setting.

lol

I tried to get through Silent Hill 2, but it was just too clunky to enjoy. It really hasn't aged well imo.

For some reason I could never get into the Deus Ex games TBH. AC II and Brotherhood were great, but I've never felt they were as extraordinary as some people made them out to be.

I think AC II was masterful. The storyline, gameplay, and length were phenomenal. That was my favorite game of all time until DX:HR came along.

AC2 was good, but I think it resonates as so wonderful is because it was so good compared to the first. It was an improvement on every single aspect of the first game and the sudden jump in quality is still something I recall fondly. It was a lovely surprise to first play.

I don't think so because as someone whose favorite time in history was the Crusades, I loved AC 1. AC 2 was just...WHOLE. The present and past storyline. The music, acting, everything.

Yeah, none of those elements were exactly top-notch in #1. Good, but not great by any means. AC2 by comparison was great. Literally everything improved. I always remember AC1 as that game that came before the one that was worth playing. And Brotherhood was always that game that barely improved or changed anything about that game that was worth playing. Probably why I stopped playing at Brotherhood.
