Alpha Protocol reminds me a lot of Mass Effect 1 actually. Mediocre and sometimes frustrating or outright shit gameplay and bugs with a fantastic story, cast and world design.

I dunno why one got a pass for its faults but the other didn't.

Probably for the same reasons you think KOTOR2 is one of the greatest games ever made and the rest of us think it's shit.

Did you watch all the good story scenes of ME1 on youtube?

If you haven't and still don't want to play it, I'd recommend you at least do that. If nothing else, look up the meeting with Sovereign.

I told you. I spent hours in a day going through ALL the wiki on ME 1 and ME 2 to prepare myself for ME 3. I spent hours reading a wiki instead of weeks to a month playing the 2 games. I don't have that much time.

The storyline is really good to make up for average graphics. The only game I would play today with a good enough storyline to make up for shitty (by today's standards) graphics is the original DX.
