Hmmm, I've found a piece of fan fiction that might well be of Publius standard, but am not sure. Check it out please and tell me wether it can compare with Publius' (irritatingly good) Sidious fiction.

Without the RotWK expansion they are unspeakably overpowered.

BfME is one of my all time favorite games. AoE (2) was good too. AoE (3) sucks. I didn't like it at all. Civ. 4 is actually where I spend most of my computer gaming time though.

I played it as MotW. I think Aragorn and Theoden got at least 40% of the kills. 😂

As long as you're not using Silverthorn arrow spam, I guess I can't criticize. I once made a self-sufficient fort that I left unattended for four hours, and didn't take a single casualty. I think I had about 75% health on my gate. Angmar likes its rock throwers.

Silverthorn arrows are ridiculous, Their knock-back is insane. It's a funny watching horsemen get literally launched like ten feet into the air after being hit by a hawthorn arrow. I just got the expansion a few days ago though. I haven't really gotten a chance to play as Angmar yet.

I hate playing as Angmar. I used the ELVES to make the impervious fortress. Angmar is only good on 2 or 4 people maps- I use it as a Zergling rush, which might be why I haven't beat a brutal with that civ. yet.

From what I've played as them I don't like them very much, Their base infantry (The wolves) seem to get owned by everything, and the only unit I really liked was the ice troll.

That's b/c the Ice Troll is win. They harvested it and molded it into their models for the unit.

The thrall master is useful, especially against humans (to throw off balance/adapt to new attacks) but I usually end up superfortifying and spamming Black Numenorians. (vs. Computers)

Hey, do you know what "creeping" is? I've heard it mentioned many times, but don't know what it means.

I use a few tactics. one of the best ideas is to play motw, make aragorn and a lot of base infantry. Then while my city is militarily strong, I make a farm, a foundry, a farm, a catapult, a farm, and if my enemy has rushed by now, I have probably gotten two heros and have kept my army about the same size (Replacing those that die). After their first rush, i send in my catapults, units and my heros using blademaster on something i really really want dead quick. Its almost a guaranteed win.

Another one is i use a perfectly crafted female elven archer (not giving away my secrets to making her all powerful) on a map that has a lot of hostile indigenous thingies (goblin caves, etc) and level her up on that while i make my team (MOTW once again) very militarily strong. A good map to do this with is rohan. While my base is pumping out men and archers and cavalry, my hero runs around capturing stuff. Then i hide her right next to their base, and when they leave to start the rush, I have her just bang on everything left while my men defend. After their force is diminished i send it all in after them.

I really love to play defense as the Dwarves. Their new archer (Prince Brand?) hero unit is incredible. When backed up by a few pikes, and then beelining for Men of Dale w/fire arrows he is almost invulnerable. The Dwarven Fort takes out just about everyone, and when it gets fully upgraded its almost invulnerable. Dwarves, however, are focused on infantry. The guardians with upgraded weapons and lv.3 exp. are just about my favorite sight. Don't even talk to me after I get Mithril armor. The pwning- complete with fire throwing catapults- issues forth from the gates of my complex fortress in an almost unending wave. Then the Goblins all die.

My tactics with Dwarves are either to rush and slowly break down an enemy with Gaurdians, or go Brand /w upgraded MoD.

A guy raped me once by rushing with one of those battery rams that can become immobile but ultra strong once. We were playing with 4000 and he made that thing and a hero and just demolished me. I think it was before the update though, when siege weapons were more resistant to pierce.

They can be army killers too, they do insta-kill trample damage and take almost no recoil. With (what else?) mithril mail they are also incredible.

I suck at dwarves. Especially since most of my tactics are counterrushes, and the dwarves aren't really good at hiding next to someone's bases/taking a beating and sprinting all the way to teh other fort and demolishing it instantly.

But i remember the addiction i got when i was playing Final Fantasy XI online, gosh thanks to that addiction i became so skinny that i actually [i]had[i] to do something about my physique. Thank god i don't hardcore games now.
