Star Trek operates on a higher level of superscience tech than Mass Effect. The Federation wouldn't have issues with the Collectors.

Will mainstream Star Wars ever sack up and address the moral implications of thoughtlessly slaughtering anyone who happens to be associated with the Empire?

Nope, if you take a paycheck from the government who runs your planet you are evil automatically!

That's pretty much the Jedi Way prior to Luke's order. Just read Path of the Jedi. Anyone who does not follow the Jedi teachings is apparently dangerous and misguided and needs to be brought "under the guidance of the Jedi," while anyone who doesn't follow the will of the council (ie. grey jedi) can only be "valued members of the Order after they have been persuaded to follow the established hierarchy."

Yeah, Jedi can be arrogant self righteous dicks sometimes.

Gee I can't imagine why so many Jedi fall to the dark side.

Pfft, yeah. Jolee had it right on the money. The issue isn't emotion or any of that stuff, it's that Jedi don't understand compromise and try to completely suppress everything "dangerous" instead of teaching them how to really handle that shit. So they refuse to bend until they break.

They're made of iron, when they should strive to be steel.

Both the typical Jedi and Sith suck.

The Sith are so much worse though. Self-Righteousness is preferable to Sociopathy.

Daedric>both of those.

I'd love to see a Daedric Jedi.
