Well sometimes they are, I'm just saying the intent of the artist should matter too, why they portrayed things how they are should be considered before we try to lynch them based purely on the surface.Using Dragons crown as an example, from when people called out from a pure art standpoint before actually discussing over all content when iirc the art was mostly a tribute to some other artists. Now there are some sexist things with the game, but I'm referring to when people went purely on designs.
Oh sure man, the artist's interpretation/intent certainly matters, but it should not supersede those of his or her audience. I would also agree that some evidence should be compiled before so shamelessly accusing someone of ill intent, as you said.
Dragon's Crown is indeed a good example of feminism gone wrong, lol. The art style is heavily caricatured, and as such the overly buxom sorceress is a lot less glaring and weird when put next to the incredibly muscular and top-heavy dwarf. Beautifully designed game btw. 👆
Also, this is pretty weird. I am actually about to write a rhetorical analysis on Roger Ebert's "Video Games Can Never Be Art" essay, and will likely be writing an argument essay in the future on the subject as well. All decided before today.
