I think Stephen King is missing the point. You can kill 20 people with a samurai sword. Would you ban samurai swords? Not that I'm against tighter gun control because I'd prefer hardcore background checks instead of being on a gun registering list, but people who make statements like that refuse to believe that humans are the issue, so they need to blame inanimate objects.

He was more or less calling out the idiocy of that woman's argument, not necessarily blaming the gun. tighter gun control is something i'm all for, background checks, registration - the whole deal. In closing: I just thought this sounded hilarious/stupid and i thought i should share lol

I wouldn't ban them, but maybe you should need a license to have a deadly weapon. The sword I own is blunt, I wouldn't feel comfortable with a real one. But a gun is massively more deadly than a sword so meh.

You're serious? You're supposed to have a license in this country, otherwise it's illegal. I keep forgetting you're from the UK.
I've been watching the SW rebels show, and you know... it would be nice if there was like an Imperial character who was just a regular dude doing his job. On that note, stormtrooper training is absurd. Yeah, lets have our cadets perform jumping puzzles, shun teamwork, and work to sabotage fellow recruits. Yeah, because that's the kind of mentality I want in soldiers who need to work together to get shit done.
