About to start reading Star by Star and holy **** 624 pages, and to make matters worse its more of Troy Denning. Its no ****ing wonder a lot of people honestly don't like the Vong books, I think I'm going to take a break from them for a bit I still need to finish Fatal Alliance, Outbound Flight, and my copy of the Revan novel is coming in. Honestly, all of those books are likely better than any of the Vong novels I've read.
They're middling. Tons of space fighting shit that's boring, and the plots vary little by little, Vong launch a surprise attack, take over a world, Luke/Jaina engage in space fight, rinse/repeat. The fights are the only interesting parts, tbh. The only one that I've honestly thought was decent was Conquest, and that was because it broke the formula and was mainly about Anakin. The rest have been average to forgettable
