Pardon my crass language but.... THIS ^ Right here, EVERY time. Fighting Traya with a good enough Sith Lord build is simply spamming Force-Crush and Storm.
yeah, i did this a lot lol. Gotta say though, I remember playing on the hardest difficulty, buffing up my sentinel Exile with blaster weapon stats and going Watchman/Marauder.

This game is bad tbh.
heh. with the update there is a sweet spot of actually interesting combat decisions plus difficult enemies right around lv 13, then by lv 16 you can steamroll everybody.
I am p sure that the influence system, implemented correctly, would have revolutionized gaming. The Ebon Hawk cutscenes where the characters are all talking / trolling one another (or being gaslighted by Kreia) were by far my favorite bits. A game that includes your relationships with each character in those kinds of inter-party interaction would be terrific.
(Naturally this is not possible with pre-programed video games, which is why DnD on pen and paper will always be an ideal to strive for in CRPG games, rather than an actual play style.)
Who doesn't love their OT-carbon copy and 14 year old sidekick? Serve that with Carth Whines-a-Lot Onasi, the least surprising and anti-climatic reveal since Luke figuring out Leia was his sister, a stupid evil villain, and a Not-Death Star, and you might have yourself the single greatest Star Wars game in history. Extra points for letting you bang the chick who totally isn't into you, that's half your age.
At least KotOR II's companions were kind enough to kill each other with TSLRCM.

Yup. I mean the only appeal of it was the "dark" mood of it all and I love that. Other than that, I'll take the first KOTOR any day.

Implying edgy shit-lord tone is appealing in the first place.
blax thank u 4 shutting down dave
Gid, you aren't wrong, but you're certainly not right. Kotor (either one) isn't a good game because it is a novel, in much the same way Eastern RPG games are novels. There is a story and not a lot of wiggle room to explore options within that story. Now, there are some exciting interactive elements, like deciding moral questions, but there isn't really a skill involved.
If u want to say that KotOR is a bad novel then i will fight u. there was a lot going on beneath the surface in terms of world building and philosophical clout that doesn't actually require the kind of "grown up philosopher" voice that people usually use. I can probably get through a solid defense of the ideas in Kotor 2 that fit into canon without using the word "existentialism" once.
actually this might be a good tumblr post...
((Biggest question: how do u expect to kill all but 6 jedi in 3 years??))
