You know, I was thinking, if we've accepted this culture of reboots and long running franchises, I think this could be a decent idea.

I mean, it's not like they could get any worse. Only way to go is up.

I stopped when the article said 16 year old Princess as she wasn't 16, but 13 and Anakin was 9 not 8. Or was it 14 and 9? Regardless, their age difference isn't much a big deal.

Really this whole thing just needs to stop, the PT was fine. Ok so people don't like it...fine, but there are those that do. Also fine.

Jeez, heaven forbid people actually have different opinions. The PT movies still made a ton of money and got mixed reviews, these loud mouth haters just seem to try and give the idea everyone didn't like them when that's not true.

Padme was five years older than Anakin, so she was 14.

Eh still the age difference isn't much a big deal when they are adults anyway.

People would care less if it were the other way around, yeah.

Interesting that the PT was apparently so sucky, yet didn't devalue the franchise even one bit, seeing TFA has had the biggest opening weekend of all time.

It's fair to say "**** you I liked it", but the prequels are only "fine" in the sense that you could say any shit film is "fine". That is to say, by making an appeal to relativity.

That said, I wouldn't advocate remaking the prequels, either.

My dad bought me this and another A New Hope version (also same price) as a kid.

I have them hanging in my room. It looks like it's worth a **** ton of money now.

If I were to support a prequel reboot, it would be one that started/ended around the same time as RotS.

And, frankly, I'd want Hayden back as Anakin.

I've seen a shit ton of movies before and after watching I-III, and besides the love story angle of II, none of it is objectively shit. It's just a bunch of neckbeards and who can't get over that their childhood is over. They love TFA because it's basically ANH, not because it was a good movie on their own. Star Wars fans hate change more than a backwoods hick.

Iyo not mine. When anyone dares treat their perception as fact you lose any degree of open mindedness.

- CGI is extremely dated and by Attack of the Clones wasn't even particularly good for its time.

- Plot, pacing and character actions are inconsistent. Plot points like Sifo-Diyas get introduced and then randomly drop. The characters do weird things like foil an assassination attempt on an important politician, then immediately jump out of windows and leave said politician unguarded against a second attempt, etc.

- Character development is static. Anakin changes and everyone around him stays mostly the same.

etc.

You do not speak for anyone other than yourself. Just remember that.

Yeah and Critics were never the biggest fans of Star Wars (Until TFA that is).

ANH got terrible reviews initially in 1977. And up until the Prequels they gave ROTJ tons of crap for years.

Only difference with the Prequels was those "neckbeards who miss their childhood" you talk about joined the critics to create what seems like a massive hate campaign.

But in reality a large portion of the GA never stopped spending money on the Prequels, and were clearly still hyped for a new Star Wars movie, despite knowing nothing but the Prequels when it comes to Star Wars for the last 16 years.

I wouldn't mind seeing a remake of the PT, they could add much better writers, improve on plot holes, and make it at least up to par with he better elements of ROTS. But I think we're far from the company even considering that ATM
