The Battle Bar, Our Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy

Started by MS Warehouse3,287 pages

I'm diehard Chicago all the way but if GSW win the title, most people are going to be saying they are the GOAT. Unfortunately it makes sense. Then again, if they lose like 6-7 games in the playoffs then overall Chicago was better. Also all metrics say the Bulls were better too. Damn that 73rd win.

genuinely in tears over game of thrones

Hold the door, you beautiful bastard.

Spoiler:
inb4 they bring Nymeria back just to kill her and ghost off next episode. **** the CGI costs right?

Altho tbf, I feel Summer had to die to show just how ****ed Bran and Meera are. That way, when cold hands arrives 😉

I wish GoT was on Netflix cuz I would totally watch it but I don't think there's any good places where I can

Tbh I don't like when they force action scenes like that. All the grief we see in the last episode is technically the result of one boy's recklessness. And I don't get how they can survive under those circumstances

Spoiler:
I don't necessarily think it was forced. The whole flashbacks thing so far has been Bran being reckless, ignoring everything he's told and putting himself in unnecessary danger simply because he doesn't care if he gets to return to his old life. Like seriously, who the **** would wade into an army of the dead like that, when you know their magic is of the same roots as your own?

Him costing Hodor and the Three Eyed Raven their lives was gorgeous, and heartbreaking. It's the only death on GoT in the past few episodes that I actually didn't think was forced, merely the natural progression to move Bran from one place to the next.

As for how they can survive, it's either Cold Hands or Benjen, hell, both at the same time if you subscribe to that theory. I'm looking forward to seeing where they go, it is one of the few arcs in the story right now that isn't being all too predictable....

I cried too when

Spoiler:
they come up with the bullshit that the CotF made the White Walkers.

Also looks like ever since they don't follow the books everyone learned to teleport 😄

I swear that's from the books though? I swear they're called "some Child's snow Knights" in the books

@Sel

Spoiler:
I don't think it's anywhere stated, and considering that the CotF and Men were fighting a war until the White Walkers came from the Land of Always Winter and then became allies I seriously doubt it.

Spoiler:
Yeh, one of the popular theories was that the Children lost control of a weapon they planned to use against the First Men? Who knows, TBH.
Spoiler:
I think that'd be pretty cheap. So far they were an unknown evil like the Reapers were in Mass Effect, and now they are just some screwed up magic of an other race, and obviously humans have to clean up the mess.
Spoiler:
TBH I never read up on the WW's origin theories, because I thought they are just the army of the Great Other, and that was enough for me.

Oh don't get me wrong, the build up to the action wasn't problematic. I also love Bran's story, and enjoyed the last episode quite a bit. I meant forced as in they're already in pretty bad shape and the entire army of WW's is now after them too, and everyone that could help them is now killed etc. It kinda reminded me of what people were criticizing in Walking Dead recently (won't go into detail cause not sure you watch it, spoiler in a spoiler woah), meaning too much bad shit going on. That's kinda what I meant by forced.

P.S not sure what Cold Hands is, if its from the books, stop talking about it. 😄

Spoiler:
Yeh he is, but he's from a completely different part of Bran's story. To be honest, I think it's just going to be Benjen Stark. He's been brought up too many times recently for it to be an accident, and in the S6 trailer there's a rider wielding some firey bullshit that seems quite convenient for Bran and Meera right now...
