Well I mean, certain Marvel characters like the Beyonder/Beyonders don't really have character apart from power, but I'd argue guys like Thanos and Galactus do. And it's not even level of power that necessarily dictates it, I.e. Vitiate's pretty powerful and a shit character because it wasn't done right, but cosmic entities who slam universes together by speaking like Yog Sothoth can still be interesting and psychologically horrifying/entertaining tbh.
It's not really the point I'm making. I agreed wholeheartedly that power and interesting character can work together (as I point out in that post you responded to), but it's a character like Vitiate (And the Beyonders) that isn't done right.
Power should always take a backseat to story and character development. Power for power's sake is boring and isn't engaging once the flare wears off. Big flashes are neat to the eyes, but they don't challenge the brain. They don't make us think beyond "wow! This guy is super powerful! I wonder if he can beat [insert person here]?"
Your example with Yog is a good one. Not only do we get that power, but we're also allowed to use our brains beyond simple dick measuring contests. Engaging the audience and allowing them to think deeply about your work should be the goal of every author. 👆

You seem to be misunderstanding.
I really don't think so.
This isn't about you.
I wouldn't have replied if it was.
you have upset the balance by interfering.
If you haven't noticed by now, that's all I ever do. If anything the fact that you're not doing so means you're betraying your sig-sake. uhuh
EDIT: Shit, Skillz beat me to it.
