Have you really read it? Did you not find anything good in there? If not then it seems to me you may have missed out a few chapters and many a verse.
In terms of killing infidels I'd refer you to Chapter 60 Verses 8-9. And in terms of Women being half of men, or the notion that Muhammad was a racist I'd refer you to Muhammad's last sermon. Those should correct some commonly misrepresented ideas about Muhammad and Islam, or at least put them in their proper context.

Yes, I'm aware of a passage that says it's not okay to kill infidels if they surrender to Islam. It's followed by several passages that say killing infidels will get you into heaven. No, it doesn't correct any misrepresented ideas. If anything, it exasperates everything else he said throughout the Quran. The Quran is backwards ass Dark Age text that needs to change or be done away with. Just like any other books that says violence is the answer to humanities problems. But let me show a few quotes from that "sermon" to prove the point to everyone else:
O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have right over you. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to commit adultery.
