to ms warehouse: actually islam is kind of a race because when you ask people about islam they usually refer to the middle east and brown people and thats where it came from. it may not be a race per se but its very close to one and the people who hate on islam also tend to support many racist things like border walls proposed by trump and think all the problems in the world come from brown immigrants. btw saying racists are a race is way more "dumbass" than calling muslims a race because with muslims they actually have a different culture.

What's the problem here?

Islam is not a religion of peace or violence it's just a religion open to many interpretations. There are Buddhists in Myanmar slaughtering Muslims. I'm not going to say Buddhists are violent in nature. Europe went through a renaissance and had it's moment; the Middle East never did. There are cultural issues at play here moreso than fundamentalism. While Ziggy is not necessarily wrong, since ISIS and Boko Haram exist, it makes no sense to assume that all people claiming that "there is no god but Allah and Mohammad is his messenger" is a terrorist/violent person. Religion relies on interpretation, and by definition all interpretations are valid. Some interpretations, however, are more reasonable than others depending on your cultural values/norms.
