well he said the n-word which is a disgraceful word to use in modern day society. he could have at least said 'n-word' but he chose to use the offensive language explicitly. she was right to call him out because that was not necessary and very offensive and racist.
Originally posted by Trocityyeah i guess you're not affected by the racism but it's a real problem for many americans from the other cultures and people who are not born into prievelge. the guy in the video used the n-word explicitly and thought that was ok so that's obviously something that needs to be called out.
Originally posted by |King Joker|well there are many ways he could have implied it rather than saying the n-word out loud... the more people say these words the longer they stay with us and the n-word has racist connotations so its not a word that we want to keep around. just because some racist bigot said it doesn't mean its suddenly ok even if you are 'quoting' it. you're still saying the word essentially and that's clearly going to offend people. also he could have quoted some other bad thing that a trump ally has said instead of quoting the guy who used the 'n-word, or quoted a different bad thing from the same guy that didn't contain that language.
He was quoting someone else to illustrate how that person is a piece of shit. If someone saying the N-word in that context causes emotional meltdowns, people need to grow some thicker skin.
Saying the N-word outright has the possibility to open the eyes of people to the fact that the assholes Trump is appointing are reprehensible pieces of shit. Sugarcoating things isn't an option at this point. There's more impact in saying "Jeff Sessions has said the word 'n1gger'" than "Jeff Sessions has said the N-word", IMO.
