Levying that charge against recreational use is still unfair and factually incorrect, unless you can explain/prove why it's supposedly stupid. Because if someone derives pleasure and stress relief from it, that seems like a justified and logical motivation for recreational use to me, on top of the fact that cannabinoids have medical benefits a person receives regardless of whether they're using it medically or recreationally.

So if Anal sex had benefits would you start doing it? Or would it still be gross?
Exactly. That's the same for me. Simply because something has benefits doesn't make it any more interesting or any less stupid(in your case gross). But just because I find doing it stupid(or how you find it gross) doesn't mean I hate the people doing the act. I just don't wanna know the details or be anywhere near where the act is occuring. Something I believe we both have in common lol

But I'm responding because attitudes like "recreational weed is stupid" is part of a stigmatization that actively makes my life, my friends lives, and the lives of other responsible stoners more difficult, in the form of people looking down on stoners even if they're responsible, and people being less motivated to actually push for a sensible legal treatment of marijuana. And it's a perpetuation of the idea that altering states of consciousness is pointless and immoral, which is based only on social norms rather than actual logic.

If you're saying you don't consider it a productive use of your time fair enough. If you're saying anyone's recreational use of it is stupid, then that's an unfair assertion.

I wouldn't call it stupid but it influences your senses and thinking process in general which could make you a potential threat for society while at the same time 'transforming' you into a person you aren't.
