Agreed. Now the question I ask every NFL fan sooner or later: Who are your top 5 QB's of all time?
About a month ago, these were my lists:
Top 5 QB's I'd want leading my team in their prime:
1. Rodgers
2. Brady
3. Montana
4. Manning
5. Favre
Top 5 QB's all-time:
1. Brady
2. Montana
3. Manning
4. Favre
5. Young
However... I've recently changed my mind about the order of some of them. These are my new ones:
QBs I'd like leading my team in their prime/most talented and impressive [best QBs]:
1. Rodgers
2. Brady/Montana
3. Montana/Brady
4. Manning
5. Young
Success and accolades:
1. Brady
2. Montana
3. Manning
4. Rodgers
5. Young
Approaching no. 5 would be Brees, Marino, Favre, Unitas and Elway.
I find it satisfying that not one of us put Bradshaw on any of our lists. 👆
For me its:
Young > Brees > Favre > Marino
I agree with Deronn, though. If Brees throws in a couple more of 5,000+ and 30+ TDs seasons, managing to keep his INTs per season at 13 or lower, I might very well rank him above Young. Brees is overlooked a lot of times due to the fact that he plays in a shitty team. Put Brees somewhere like Denver and he'd excel.
Btw, Skillz. Rodgers = Jordan as of right now.
@Petrus: Nice ranking. 👆 And yeah, if Breed played on a team as good as Brady, Peyton, or The Rodgers most of their careers, he'd be a top 5 guy, honestly. Since Brees came to New Orleans, is number 1 in almost every offensive category that has to deal with Breesus. His defenses has been absolutely horrible, however, giving up 25+ points per game in like the last. This year, last, and in 2012 particular, they have come close to giving up 30 ppg, smh.
Thanks, Deronn.
Yeah, the Saints defense is absolutely terrible and it has been for at least five years now. Rob Ryan was a bad DC, and they have practically no playmakers on that side.
Their offensive players, other than Brees, aren't exactly stellar either. His RBs have been inconsistent throughout the years, as have his WRs. He had Jimmy Graham over there for some years, and due to the lack of talent in other skill positions, he was obviously Brees's go-to guy. Not only this, but his O-line has also been abysmal.
I firmly believe that if Brees had played somewhere like Denver or Dallas, he would've won another SB by now. Imagine what Brees would do with 4 or 5 seconds to throw and WRs who actually play good consistently or what he would do with a defense like the Broncos.

Agreed. The fact the guy is 16 seasons into his career, and he's still leading the league in major categories such as passing yards, and still a top 5 QB is nothing short of remarkable. The guy hasn't shown any signs of slowing, tbh.
Who's your top 5 WR of all time, though?
1. Jerry Rice by 99 ****ing miles
2. Randy Moss
3. Terrell Owens
4. Cris Carter
5. Marvin Harrison
Closely following are Don Hutson, Tim Brown and Steve Largent.
This is obviously in relation to their respective eras.
EDIT - Honestly, though, the top 5 WRs are much, much harder to round up than the QBs. There are so many who've had tremendously prominent careers and there are a lot more factors to analyze in terms of the rule changes throughout the years.
Nice list, and yeah, WR is really, really hard to determine. With that said, if I was starting a team, and I had to pick a WR that would give me the most with the less baggage to go along with their talent it would look something like:
1. Jerry Rice
2. Randy Moss
3. Calvin Johnson
4. Antonio Brown/Larry Fitzgerald
5. Larry Fitzgerald/Antonio Brown
If we're going by success/impact/accolades
1. Jerry Rice
2. Randy Moss/Don Hudson
3. Don Hudson/Randy Moss
4. Raymond Berry
5. Lance Alworth
Honorable mentions being Tim Brown, Marvin Harrison Terrell Owens, etc.
Very nice list, tbh. 👆
Lance and Berry were awesome, too, yeah.
Mine was a top 5 all-time. If I had to choose 5 WRs to start a team today, it'd look like this:
1. Jerry Rice
2. Randy Moss
3. Antonio Brown
4. Calvin Johnson
5. Larry Fitzgerald
The combination of talent, discipline and work ethic is overall balanced; I think they'd provide a basically invincible aerial offense with the proper QB.

Oh, Randy Moss is probably the most talented WR of all time. His speed, hands, and jumping ability was uncanny. Defenses virtually had to be created to combat him, and he required the attention of at least 2-3 defenders on a play-by-play basis. The only problem was his worth ethic and attitude, tbh.
Randy Moss was absolutely ridiculous, yeah. I think him alongside Megatron were the most talented to ever play in the NFL. Jerry, tho... Oh man, he was just ****ing insane. He's far and above every other WR by a mile, the guy was brilliantly relentless and forever clutch.

Now, what's your top 5 RBs all-time?
Honestly, to this day, I cannot have a top 5. I have a definitive top 7, but the order of the last 3 varies from time to time in my head. It looks like this:
1. Barry Sanders
2. Jim Brown
3. Walter Payton
4. Emmitt Smith
5. LaDainian Tomlinson
6. Adrian Peterson
7. Marshall Faulk
