Except you said they weren't dominant - when, throughout the year, they clearly were. I was never comparing them to the Niners so meaningless comparison.Reading/comprehending is a great tool, I suggest you try it one of these days.
We are talking about the most dominant teams in history so of course we compare them to true powerhouses like Friscos great teams.
Beat the colts by 4, eagles by 3, ravens by 3, jets by 10, giants by 3.
And I already told you how they underperformed in the playoffs before losing the biggest game. Postseason matters, son.
Yep, the Pats shat on Dallas [13-3] Steelers [10-6], Chargers [11-5] Redskins [9-7] all good/great teams that made the playoffs, but they sure were running the score up on weaker teams.
Anyway, I was commenting on whether or not they were dominant, and the question is a clear yes. They sorta spurted in the playoffs, but you must realize this team was on a monstrous win steak and they did pretty handily beat the Jags, the 11 points doesn''t win doesn't do justice to the actual game.
Whether they should be mentioned among the great isn't an argument I was making from the get-go.

I didn't say every team was a field goal away from beating them but they weren't all time dominant like the most dominant teams of the past. 84 Niners ironically only lost one game that year by a field goal. They also shut out the 84 Bears who were one year away from history. 23-0. They also spanked Dan Marino and that record setting offense in the Sbowl. 48 tds in that era by Dan was friggin amazing. Just remember this is all time dominant teams so they don't belong in the conversation.

2. 84 Niners
3. 94 Niners
4. 85 Bears
5. 91 Redskins
Well, dominant doesn't necessarily mean SB champion, tho. And they pretty much destroyed the competition during 17 weeks, at least.
