Interesting order. Not sure I've met many people who enjoyed the Consular story as much as I did.

I'd personally swap Warrior and Inquisitor round, but pretty sound list other than that. As to the debate previously, yes, the Agent storyline blows the others out of the water.

The Agent doesn't have the same crew mentality as a lot of other class stories though. It's more like Kotor 2 than the original Kotor in how you tend to have a focus on many different companions (and storylines to an extent) that either get on with each other or despise each other depending on your actions. Specifically as a male agent, since Kalyio and Temple tend to not get along.

If you liked Kotor more than Kotor II, in terms of the foundations of the story (more than the execution) in that you like typical Star Wars, us vs them, overcoming insurmountable odds... The knight and Trooper stories are probably for you. If you have actual taste though, Freshest's ordering is sound.

For me it goes something like this:

Agent
Warrior
Bounty Hunter
Consular
Knight
Inquisitor
Trooper

Haven't played the Smuggler story all the way through so I can't give my opinion on that one yet.

I previously had Consular much lower and Inq above Knight, but recent playing [as in, past few days] have changed my mind.

That could not have possibly come off more pretentious.

And that was quite obviously the intention.

Your insights are profound as always, Emp.

Nah, I thought KOTOR II was a cesspool of shit and I prefer the Agent and Warrior storylines as well.

It's irrelevant what you thought of KOTOR II as a product, the fact of the matter is the Agent storyline has companions pit against one another (instead of the unified teams of most classes), numerous different complex paths built around the ideas of what is right and wrong. Coupled with a story that contains betrayals, twists around every corner, and actually complex characters...

It's quite obviously more similar to KOTOR II in it's intent as a story, than the classic Star Wars storytelling seen in KOTOR.

Yo Democrats are such little bitches I swear to god lmfao

Joker knows what's up.

All they do is capitulate it's ****ing awful

Have I ever told you how much I hate the KMC image linking system? 🙂

KotOR II's problem is that it's just one big "**** you," to Star Wars from Avellone. Just like he does with every mythos he gets his hands on. It also falls apart at the end. I prefer the characters in it to the characters in KotOR, I also like how it actually tried to not be the exact same story we always get with Star Wars, so I do enjoy playing it more. Revan's story would be a lot better if they didn't use amnesia as a cop out and he actually tried to find some sort of redemption well aware of who and what he was, and having to live with those demons. But that's a level a writing that far beyond BioWare at this point. That's why they stick to teen dramas.

You'll have to forgive him, ever since I left his forum he has taken on the mantle of captain obvious. But someone had to succeed me /shrug

Kind of the same order for me. Knight story is generic but still fun, whereas Trooper was just shit after the first act (though they had one of the best prologues).

Consular's kind of the opposite where the prologue and especially Act I are kind of painful to get through because of how overwhelmingly repetitive they are, but Act II and III are some of the best in the game. I agree with the Inquisitor being #7 — terrible story where you get played by everyone and walk into blindingly obvious traps. Just where was the Palpatine-esque manipulation that they kept marketing?

Agent & Warrior are awesome; not sure which one is better between the two. I'd actually put the Bounty Hunter below the Consular — it was decidedly average for me despite a couple of cool moments. The Smuggler story was wacky in a fun kind of way but the actual storyline is below the BH's.

Never mind, Agent's first, but Warrior's a firm second.

On a side note, I have a particular fondness for Tython that I can't explain. I'm not sure whether it's just nostalgia as a result of it being my first SWTOR planet ever, but there's something about it which feels separate from the rest of the game. It's definitely a wondrous place, but for whatever reason I don't have the same feeling on that world as I do on any other world in TOR. Once I get to 10 and leave Tython, the feeling of the game shifts big time. Again, can't explain it.

My ranking of the early worlds is Korriban ~ Tython >> Hutta >> Ord Mantell. The first two are amazing, Hutta's still above average but Ord Mantell was plain boring.

I greatly enjoyed the music and landscape of Alderaan, Hoth and Tatooine, but they were just too big. I also enjoyed Nar Shaddaa and Voss. Belsavis and Balmorra got mixed responses from me, whilst I hated Taris and Corellia with a passion. Quesh was just a filler world; didn't do much for me.

SWTOR is old news, and your not allowed to say anything good about it anymore. uhuh

I liked Arcann's design.
