I think Freshest meant "safest" as in, "safest from foreign invasion." Which I'm fairly sure it is, with our military and geographical position.

Thanks to our geological position, any country not in this hemisphere would have to cross a vast body of water just to get in striking vicinity, and with the number one Land and Water Force in the world, good luck accomplishing that feat. without being snuffed out and blasted out of the sky/water. So yeah, in a war or anything of the like, the U.S. is high impenetrable.
Canada and Mexico is except from water crossing rule, but really, what can they possibly do the most powerful country that ever existed?
We could, quite frankly, annex them with a 1/20 of our manpower - together, probably.
1. I guess as an american it makes you sleep better thinking USA is unassailable, so I don't really want to ruin that for you.
2. As always you manage to spectacularly miss the point. USA might be the most defensible country, but it's also one of, if not the most, likely to be attacked. So that shit evens itself out.
1. Honestly, I really don't care if it is, or isn't, just laying the facts out on the table. It's damn near impossible to send a hostile body/object across that vast an area without the US detecting you through radar and other means.
2. Yes, I clearly got that point the minute I posted, but the factor listed above, kind of makes it mute. If your arms are too short to box with God, no amount of swinging is gonna make any punch connect and do damage. Micro attacks is going to be a *****, but anything on a macro scale isn't gonna be a problem for America.
