The issue is more along the lines of what modern warfare entails too. I see it more like that the US is more vulnerable because of entities like North Korea, who exist in striking range of the west coast, ready to wipe out significant civilian life.
Even if they don't strike America, it's South Korea then. Things like that worry me, not a navy sailing straight into another navy, that's not how modern warfare will be fought. Most countries are forsaking conventional items like that for a reason.
Though the Americas are still probably safer than mainland European countries.

I ****ing love Americans.
A bunch of bullshit spouted ahead of this aside, pretending that Europe is super safe at this point is laughable(by the way I said freest and safe. If you want to trade your rights for security, all the power to you), this is a shit comparison. Provoking a war is one thing. Acting in response to Asaad is another. And given Clinton gave her support for this anyway, you can stop bitching any time now. It's unbecoming. I'm not anti-war, and I know very few Americans who are. War within itself is never the problem.

Hillary's policy was due to Assad's chemical attacks prior and his killing of civilians, so Trump's reason for the strike isn't very different from Hillary's no-fly zone policy.
Exactly. Both are provoking war, the only difference is Trump believed Putin's bullshit about removing chemical weapons from Syria, and the democrats did not. I'm fully aware Hillary's plan was provocative, the US should have been more provocative for a long time. The only difference between the two of them is that one had to wait for civilians to die horribly to act, the other could have potentially prevented it.
That's it. That's all there is.

No, her no fly zone was to target Russian planes. Her whole bit during the election cycle was sticking it to Russia. Either way, I don't care if it's Hillary or Trump at the helm. Only partisans do. Both are shit people.

That said, at this point, it looks like war's going to happen either way. I hope most of us get drafted.
