That's not really relevant to me wanting the fanbase to hate Star Wars. Transformers movies get made every two years, and no one's talking about how much they love those.

Not sure if this has been addressed in another thread or has been answered at all by anyone working on the movies, so I'll ask here:

What happened to Luke's hand? Even in the flashback of the burning academy, his hand is a chrome robotic hand. What the hell happened?

He probably just took off the prosthetic skin and tissue rather than having the skin repaired from when it was shot in RotJ.

It wasn't ass in the "badly made / low quality" front (except for the silly space battles with gaping plot holes); rather, it made controversial story choices. E.g. if you dislike it you think it more like Putin or Stalin than Todd Akin.

It was bad in the sense that it was rife with potholes, false dilemmas and plot contrivances. That does put it on the "poorly made" category as those are all symptoms of bad writing.

I would actually say that the directing / Direction is probably the best part of the film. It is gorgeously shot, with some of the best looking scenes in the entire franchise. The acting wasn't horrible either outside of a couple characters.
