It's like you pulled this out of an ancient philosophical text. Very nice.

Now, I just need to rewrite it in ancient Greek and grow a huge ass beard.

where's legend?!?!? he still didn't reply to his outright lie in the Revan thread!!! I propose asking him to reply to that as a reply to anything he posts.

“Do you not see?” Kieron said, raising his hands towards the stars. “I look at the universe in all of its grand splendor and macabre horror, in all of its wondrous beauty and vicious terror and I see a blank slate waiting for humanity to grant it value. Humanity is always looking to some distant god for meaning, as if the existence of a higher power would give them meaning. Are they blind?” He lifted his eyes up to the heavens and smiled. “This is the gift of the universe! The ability to shout to the heavens and say this is what matters to me! And no, god, demon or spirit will tell me otherwise.” He turned toward Lucius and shook his head. “You, with your mantra of ‘all is meaningless’ reject the greatest gift ever given to humankind.”

“I have little interest in your inane-”

“-you are afraid, that if you give something meaning and then you lost it, it would hurt you in a way no weapon could.” Kieron’s face grew dark as he drove his words relentlessly. “Instead, you wallow in some kind of self-satisfied misery, sneering down at the world and all those happier than you.” He paused, letting his words sink in. Watching the play of expressions across his father's face. “You, are pathetic.” He said. Lucius opened his mouth to reply, but Kieron cut him off. “The sister I have never known cares for you as only a daughter can. She loves you, even though you are too afraid to love her in return. She loves you, because she is willing to forgive your cowardice.” He narrowed his eyes, expression turning hard. “I am not so forgiving of the man that can orchestrate the slaughter of thousands in the name of his pride and then justify it by clutching to his greatest fear.”

“I suppose you consider yourself some living font of wisdom on the human condition?” Lucius asked blankly. “Should I call my only son, Kieron the Wise now?”

“Such epithets would be empty coming from you.” Kieron replied. “What would the most infamous fool alive know of wisdom?”

Ah, I love existentialism. A pity postmodernism has taken over and completely ruined it.

This is what I get for not having a job this winter break. Nothing to do at all, driving me to post the most random crap I can find. Or, busting out a vicious philosophical attack against deontological ethics.

Yep, he also still has to reply to my last post there.

This is turning out better than I thought. Stupid dems trying to rush it.

Avatar was AMAZING.

Yeah but it's no The Prestige.

The Prestige was awesome.

Indeed I genuinely feel that it's the most underrated film of all time and that it deserved way more acclaim than it actually got.

The CGI was by far the most revolutionary in cinematic history. The storyline was badass as well. From the reviews, I thought the story was going to be weak. I hope Cameron wins some oscars/academy awards. He definitely deserves them.

There were two magician movies made around that time. One was The Prestige but I can't remember the other one's name. Was Prestige
Spoiler:
the one where he has Tesla make him a cloning machine?

Yes, and you may be thinking of The Illusionist. I like it more than The Prestige becuase it doesn't rely on an unbelievable plot-device, though it is still a fine movie.

That's the ticket. What was the plotline on that one?

Lucien do you ever play anything other than Oblivion?

illusionist was just weirder. no real magic, just a story of love, and a framed murder, if my memory serves me correctly. It has indeed been a long while.

avatars story was really weak. my friend and i spent the entire movie predicting what was going to happen in the next scene and we were right every time 😬

still a great movie though. the design of the planet and technology are a work of art. enjoyed every minute of it.

Yes, but I'm a perfectionist. Once I start the game, I have to do everything. And I was trying to get the Shivering Isles achievements. Still pissed that I have to play through again to get the last one.

so what do ya'll think of us GIVING 100,000,000,000 a year to china so they can fight climate change? That isn't the sum of the bill of course, we still have to pay for our fight for climate change, ON TOP of cap and trade. That is how much money we are borrowing a year from China, to GIVE china. and then we get to pay interest to china.

Are you kidding? This President is a joke.

I wouldn't want to be the one sitting next to you.

Any attempts at halting climate change will fail, simply because we as a race are too divided to fix global problems.
