The Patriots had a great system for Brady to throw in, which is why he's so successful, you can plug anyone (Matt Cassel) in it and he'll look great at QB. Bradys injury might have hurt his skills but the worse part about his injury is that it exposed him for what he really is, and thats not a top QB of all time...because a guy like Matt Cassel who sucks in KC was able to fill his shoes and win 11 games and actually look good

I agree. While he is undoubtedly amazing, Tom Brady is overrated. He has always had the best front line in the NFL.

So... I was thinking. If your average Jedi Grunt can move faster than the blink of an eye. Then how did Obi-Wan fail so badly as to not run fast enough to get past the force fields that separated him from Qui-gon?

This is not an issue of the movies slowing Jedi down, this is an issue of the supposed speed of a Force user, not interacting properly with the physical world in the way that they should if they do indeed possess such speed.

I maintain that there's a certain level of context-sensitive retardation in most movies, Star Wars of course being no exception.

even more perplexing:

what the **** is the real world application/point in having multiple laser walls that spontaneously materialize in patterned intervals inside of a maintenance hallway?

I imagine GL figured the typical viewer would be too entranced by the highlyunrealisticbadass saber fight to care about such things.

On consideration, none of the saber fights seem to have anything to do with lightsaber forms. I mean I know people bring them up all the time in arguments and show off youtube videos, but I never can figure out what people are talking about. All the lightsaber fights look the same to me, with no difference in style.

yeah.... there are some notable differences though.

dooku's style does tend to resemble what makashi is supposed to look like and is relatively unique compared to the other styles and same with yodas ataru.

agreed with everything else though. generally everything else looks like the same little spins and twists

Dooku and Yoda are the only two. I mean supposidly in TPM fight, Maul is using Juyo and Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon are using Ataru.

The only difference between the three of them is the fact that Maul is using a saberstaff and likes to kick a lot... because apparently Maul is an idiot that doesn't realize that kicking in a duel with lightsabers is a really stupid idea.

gray shields on Grievous's ship as well, they just don't make any sense. Who installs such things?

*Ray shields.

Those bugged me ever since I first saw RotS. They deploy in a specific spot in a really long hallway and cover a specific area. Either the droids use them just hoping their victims are unlucky enough to be in that exact spot, or the entire hallway is line with really accurate forcefield emitters.

Here is another question.

Why did so many Jedi die at Geonosis?

If the average Jedi is a mini Flash, then why did any of them die? They should have been able to race through those droids like nothing. Instead almost all of them died.

This is another element of a supposed Jedi's super speed not interacting properly with the physical world.

I think GL should just remain silent on such things, because now he's created all these inconsistencies. Jedi do not seem to demonstrate exceptional speed.

He'd probably make up some bullshit about the droids also moving really fast, and their numbers overwhelmed the Jedi. But we can't see it, because we're too normal, so he slowed it down for us.

You know, I've come to the conclusion that the death of Palpatine and the fall of the Empire was one of the worst things to ever happen in Star Wars, in a historical context at any rate.

As I read through all this post ROTJ stuff, I have realized that all the rebels accomplished was the creation off mass anarchy, warlords, constant war, violence and death.

They did all this, all in the name of some stupid egalitarian principle.

They're just like us!

I've had many philosophical(no really) discussions with Gideon and other members of this board regarding this. From my perspective, Luke did the galaxy a greater disservice/evil by getting rid of the Empire, and paving the way for the Vong to kill 365 trillion. With the Empire, there was order and there would have never been an attack from the Vong. It's an interesting topic to debate.

As far as the rest of the holes you and the others are poking, you're not alone in everything you've typed.

Well there amy have been an attack from the Vong but it would of been far less damaging.
