The Battle Bar, Our Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy

Gladstone is awesome. The best I've read though has been from Dr. David Thorpe of somethingawful.com, specifically "your band sucks". Classic stuff.

[B]Why should I care about the clones? I'm talking about the Jedi here.

because your entire argument for why jedi could defeat a trained military squad is because they have a history of defeating soldiers and deflecting bullets. my point is that the average trained squad in real life is infinitely more dangerous and intelligent than any trained soldiers that the jedi make short work of in the star wars universe.

Also, all that stuff is there becuase George Lucas is a moron. PIS. Fact is that there are a ton of other instances that make out the clones to be utter badasses. Just watch the old clone wars cartoons.[/quote[

leland chees also stated that the abilities the characters in the cartoon possess are highly exaggerated because the cartoon is aimed toward children 😬 ergo while the events within them are canon it cant be used to gauge the characters abilities. theres also the fact that their abilities in the show vastly contradict their abilities in the movies, which is superior canon. so no.

[quote]Obi-wan Kenobi. ROTS novel. Against Grievous.

obi-wan was also stated to be within a sort of "avatar of the force" mode when he did that its not a consistent ability he has.

There's also a bit in LOE where he deflects the combined fire of around 30 droids at once (possibly super-battle droids).

a squad of soldiers firing fully automatic weapons with deadly accuracy > 30 droids firing single shot rifles with poor aim.

and thats not even counting shot guns.

Ms.Marvel
a squad of soldiers firing fully automatic weapons with deadly accuracy > 30 droids firing single shot rifles with poor aim.
Fifty super battle droids, automatic cannons, he was high.

You know I've watched ROTS quite a few times and I never saw twenty strikes per second.

Of course I didn't see a lot of things in ROTS that apparently happened.

Congratulations George Lucas for failing to understand the power of bullet time.

Bullet time is for mortals.

Interesting development. Apparently the sith emperor retreated to Dromund Kaas and used that planet for preparation for the next 1400 years.

With all due respect guys. I think you've told the OP enough times about what you think of his threads, telling him again will not make a difference if it didn't the first time. If you don't like the thread, try not commenting, okay.
You go guuurl.

Well, according to your avatar we know which Class you'll start out with. No?

18 strikes Slash, 18.

"each of the twelve strikes per second came from a different angle with different speed and intensity, an unpredictably broken rhythm of slashes, chops, and stabs of which every single one could take Obi-Wan's life. Not one touched him...Grievous, snarling fury, ramped up the intensity and velocity of his attacks-sixteen per second, eighteen-until finally, at twenty strikes per second, he overloaded Obi-Wan's defense. "

🙂

That was in the movie, never mind the CW cartoons.

Thanks.

cause kenobi was uber! hooray! no other reason, fo shizzle!

Does anyone else think that the whole "it took the sith emperor 20 years to travel to Dromund Kaas" idea is completely retarded? I'm not a star wars technology expert but I'm assuming they need some to stop somewhere for fuel. 20 years on a ship? Come on.

So, while this is probably old news to the rest of you, I just finished the LOTF fanfictionbooks and I am a bit confused.

Caedus is supposed to be super strong in the Force right? He's supposed to be a badass.

Why is that it he sucks?

Why is that he is full of incompetence?

Caedus is downright pathetic. One of the most puny Sith Lords I've ever read about. Yet, apparently we are supposed to believe that he's some kind of Force powered bamf.

Considering the average hyperdrive can go millions of times faster than light speed.

No, it doesn't make any sense at all.

You are absolutely correct. My personal theory is that he isn't nearly as strong as most on the board give him credit for. He almost loses, or outright loses almost every fight he is involved in.

His feats are not that great, his one duel with Luke being really his one main feat. However, he gets fooled repeatedly, and made the fool by luke repeatedly in other books, so i think they more than equal out his one decent showing. (that he still lost)

See after reading the threads here I was expecting an extremely powerful and dangerous Sith Lord.

I mean, maybe that was the intention of the authors, but if it was, they did a terrible job of showing it.

Well he is more powerful than Vader.

But yes, I wouldn't put him in the top 5.

On a side note Rex has been around alot more lately.

Two energy swords no longer make up your symbol.

You have no imagination.

No. You have no imagination.

... You should've bolded the "No" and italicized the "You."

The f*ck.

They do. Actually. You are wrong. To think! I welcomed you. I missed your intelligent and 'witty' remarks. For what? This abuse? You've hurt me. I hope you're happy.

Anyone else watching the Massachusetts election race like a hawk? History is about to be made.

no

I am. But you saw what I posted earlier in the week, they will go around the back door anyway, by instilling the 2 week waiting period. It is simply DENYING 1/2 the population of Massachusetts any kind of representation. Flat wrong. Honestly, THIS is worth being violent over. Taxation without representation is EXACTLY what 1776 was all about in the first place. Next time it could be YOUR voice being ignored.
