unoriginal story, poor graphics, bad drama, cheap pathos tricks, irritating characters, racist stereotypes, unrealistic technological advances, what more could you ask for in a great movie?

Poor graphics? cheap pathos tricks? bad drama? racist stereotypes? Unrealistic technology? LOL.. Are you sure we saw the same movie?

I'm not a die hard Avatar fan, but Stephen Lang made that movie: Quarich [Quartich?] was the most badass villain in years.

Cheesy disney cartoon crap... Yeah, they put 40 bagillion dollars into making it look good, but they stylized it like some disney enchanted forest, It wasn't realistic, and it wasn't some sort of paradise. That's the thing. If they had mixed live action with animation they could have pulled off much more realistic characters and landscape, instead of something that felt so abominably unrealistic. Avatar's about the experience/graphics right? not the story, right? then how come you feel like you're watching the same movie as polar express?

cheap pathos tricks?
watch the review again from 3:23 on.
bad drama?

every single character had a 1d over-exaggerated character. they had 1 good actress, yes, that's right, the girl from galaxy quest, and every other female was annoying. The na'avi chick screeched too much and the Mexican chick in the plane was trying to sound like Sylvester Stallone. annoying. All the dudes were over-testosterone pumped pussies bent on destroying their enemies at all costs. They have unrealistic and poorly written dialogue exchanges which provide awkward situations throughout the whole movie.
racist stereotypes?
as a white man with military roots, i could not be more offended at the cultural incompetency of nearly every white man there. See any black bad guys? Also, the blue people are OBVIOUSLY native americans or Iraqi's, no matter where you want to accuse james cameron of stealing the crappy story from.

Unrealistic technology? LOL.. Are you sure we saw the same movie?
Yep. I'm going to assume that since we already have primitive robots and AI and remote controlled drones, that by the time we can hyper-sleep and travel at light-speeds, that we would have unmanned remote controlled tanks/fighters, etc. and wouldn't resort to terminator/matrix style mechs. I mean, it's like our army advanced 20 years and then went off to commit genocide. What happened to star trek's warp core happening by 2063?

I did watch the review. It was as dumb as Numbers and Dexter.

I didn't know you needed a review to tell you what to think about a movie.

Really? "nero" from st11,

He didn't have enough screentime to either exude menace or capitalize on the tragic story provided for him by the writers. Great on paper, poor execution.

One Free Man
MNU,

Who?

One Free Man
Hans Landa?

Landa was very likely the more menacing villain, but not necessarily more badass than Quarich.

One Free Man
The joker?

Heath Ledger/the Joker's emo fan brigade leeched him from any badassery he may have once possessed.

Nah, the review just said almost everything I felt after seeing the movie, only I'm too lazy to make a video.

Yea I don't know. Hans Landa was simply amazing and the Joker was the best I've ever seen.. Forget the fan brigade.

Yea, the review was pretty stupid, I agree.

Agreed, but I thought he brought on a bad-ass that had been missing in star trek since the beginning.

Who?
the faceless troops from District 9

I really liked landa, but w/e.

Here's where I'll have to sincerely disagree. I'm of the firm opinion that someone's fan-base shouldn't destroy him. If miley cyrus was a great singer with talent and original songs, I'd enjoy her music even though her fan-base was retarded under-age white chicks. I enjoy a few of lady gaga's songs despite her fan-base.

I agree that the Ledger-Joker fan-base is just about the most annoying and bitchy thing on the planet, though.

Qaurich was awesome but I've seen better. Ledger definately. I recently watched Canaan (anime, so you plebs probably won't touch it) and the antagonist Alphard is a serious Bad mother ****er. Pwning superpowered beings with ease (when you're a normal person) while giving an awesome rape face is cool, especially with lots of Les yay thrown in. Plus just watching her sisters complete and ****ing horrifying mental breakdown without a single change in facial expression is just chilling and actually disturbed me. I was watching just for her towards the end.

Agreed. He was more intelligent than Quarich and had that combination of both charm and menace, but Quarich was much more badass.

I'm not saying he's the better villain, just giving credit where it's due.

DS
and the Joker was the best I've ever seen.. Forget the fan brigade.

After I rewatched it, I couldn't reconcile how he was able to convince Two-Face to go after Batman and Gordon instead of killing him. Ledger's delivery was excellent and I was impressed, but I don't think he was the best ever. Just my opinion.
