Qui-Gon? Not much is known, other that he is rumored to be a Jal-Shey, with is basically a Light Sith. Like a dark jedi, but ti takes Sith philosophies and flips them into something good. Maybe the better parts of Rand mixed in with pure pragmatism? In any case, his head wasn't planted so firmly in his ass that he couldn't see the blatantly obviuosness darkness of Palpatine....

I just read the article on Jal Shey at Wookiee, and there is nothing even remotely Sithly about them.

Yeah, if anything the article says they avoid combat and are actually weak in comparison to the jedi, don't sound at all like a sith to me.
