What I said is that we stop going on the offensive, they'll no longer have a good reason (good obviously being suggestive) to attack us. My point is that to the people who live in that area, we look like the bad guys. We're the invaders, we don't speak the language, we don't like their culture, etc. So when the Taliban acts a fool they can point a finger at us. Whereas, if all we do is shit like sending aid, and they attack us anyway, it makes them look like assholes. That's what I was saying.
