Narcissim. What about the people who didn't do crimes today only because they WERE afraid of punishment?

You're not talking to me are you?

So apparently Corran Horn's a bit of a badass.

i was replying to Red's quote.

Nephthys, I never said there wasn't a difference. I simply said it doesn't matter. People still die. Or are you suggesting that since they're trained soldiers it matters less if they die?

No. Though I've already made my feelings clear on why its acceptable to attack a soldier during a war and not so a civilian.

Fair enough.

"A soldier's job is to die..." worst thing you have ever said.

Somehow I'll live with myself Mr.Genocide.

Well... A soldier's job actually is to die...

Which sucks which is why war sucks.

i'm talking about letting our troops go to war without 50 rules about who they may or may not fire on.

I quite agree.

Let's knock off the name-calling and insults right now, please. You guys can talk about the North Korean debacle all you want, just do it with civility. There is a distinct lack of that in here. I dislike it.

So... TJ, it IS part of a soldier's job to die for their country. Obviously we want them to live and fight on, and it is not their POINT to be killed. They have volunteered for the danger, know the risks, and are doing it so that you don't have to. Don't twist words, please.

As for assaulting civilians... no. Bad form. There's a reason people get pissed when civilian deaths happen. If we went to war with North Korea, our object would not be totally massacreing their people. It'd be defeating their army and removing their Looney Toons dictator.

On the other hand, that would be like condemning dropping the atomic bomb on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. When the civilians become a part of the problem to such extent, its time to take things to the next level. Oh how I wish it wax Berlin that got bombed to hell. Unfortunately, the war on that front ended before operations became operational.

I didn't feel like I was twisting anything. A soldier is a citizen with a uniform on.

And with a gun in his hands. A civilian is a citizen with neither. To kill them when they lack those two soldier components (the gun especially) is to kill an unarmed person.

Did you ALL miss where I pointed out that every NK citizen is in the Reserve until 60? Literally every adult over there is an enemy.

You would hide behind semantics? A technicality?

Well.... yep. Pretty much. 😐

I didn't feel like I was twisting anything.

Nor did I (think you were).

Essentially, what you wish to be done in the course of an invasion, is the systematic execution of every North Korean between the ages of 17 to 60.

Considering he's the same guy who proposed we kill 50 Afghan civilians for every American death...
