Pot allowed the Original Trilogy to happen. Yoda was a hermit living in the swamp preaching natural living and thriving off hallucinogenic herbs. That was awesome!

By the time CGI allowed Lucas to show whatever he wanted, the vivid colors and seizure-inducing flashes of the Clone Wars had taken hold in GL's scrambled, meth'd up brain.

Your mileage may vary on that one. A lot of people bitched that it ruined Yoda's mystique. Me? I think TFU should be the standard for Force powers, not the outlier.

Nah I think tfu is overkill. And red definitely discovered something but its not the opposite sex.

Moments of it, sure. But for the most part, it fits in with Vader's ominous declaration that the Death Star is insignificant next to the power of the Force. It also makes Force users utter badasses while still keeping them vulnerable. On a Star Wars scale, they can afford to make TFU the standard, since even then, Force users would be vulnerable to armies and whatnot.
