It was a promising movie that went nowhere. I went to the theaters to see Gecko f*cking some arrogant businessmen up and gaining some sweet vengeance along the way, teaching us all about 21st century greed, corporate technological soullessness, and the depressing value of cynicism.Instead we were treated to two hours of Shia Labeouf's love of environmentally friendly technology, unconvincing conflict between what's right and wrong, and his incredibly tedious relationship with Gecko's daughter. And in the background hums a completely irrelevant and go-nowhere story about Susan Sarandon's financial problems.
And in the end, just when we're hoping for some last minute Gecko-style backstabbing f*ck-over, he has a change of heart and amends his ways.
Insipid. The sequel trails miles behind the quality of the first.
They dumbed down the economics part for this generation, sadly. They also increased the drama to appease this generation. This is what happens when there is so much hype for a sequel, it usually disappoints. The first one was an absolute classic.. Also Shia wasn't bad in this movie, they just focused too much on drama and less on the mechanics of the markets. Gekko was the one shining light in the sequel because at 65, Douglas still has it.

Obviously NOT just the fringe elements like some people would try to get us to believe. For a strike to be at all effective it has to involve a large percentage of the population.
Also, that should read that it 'couldn't suck as much shit as last year.' Couldn't.
edit: oh my god

If you are still calling Islam a peaceful religion, you are just in denial at this point.

A gross generalization on your part. It's the violent Muslims that get attention.
