Not really seeing why Albedo from Xenosaga's that great a villian. He's just kind of a creepy pedo lunatic imo. He's also like, the least subtle dude ever.

Also x 2 combo: His cape makes him look like a gay fairy.

I'm actually inclined to agree with you there; I think it's the same reason Kefka from Final Fantasy VI (who I thought was completely overrated as well) seems to be such a fan favourite, though I do think Albedo captures a sort of child like insanity like almost no other villain I've ever come across. I think Margulis is a way better villain though, and literally every villain in Xenogears has him beat pretty significantly.

How far into it are you out of curiosity? The entire series has been really plagued with censoring actually and I'd highly recommend watching the original uncensored Japanese cutscenes for some of the better and more important scenes; this one in particular paints a far more terrifying picture of Albedo than the censored English one in my opinion:

Yeah I heard about the censoring thing. Like they took out him shoving his hand into MOMO's chest because thats a little too rapey. Shame.

Watch the scene above, it's a lot more effective than the censored scene.
