From one drink?

Well IDK, it was kind of big and I didn't watch to see the ratio of vodka to orange juice. I tried to keep track of how stupid I was acting so I could gauge if I was drunk or not and I don't recall acting dumb. No holes in memory or anything. My limbs got all heavy, but that's it.

All I know is that this morning I wanted to empty everything through whatever holes I have.

Hazel.

You darky scum.

On an unrelated note, I can now say I have a better understanding of the Coriolis effect and centrifugal forces.

This album is fvcking awesome.

According to those studies I wonder if I am suppose to be bisexual. I am both left handed and right handed.

Also, my mom has green eyes and she can not handle alcohol at all.

Do... do you understand the concept of statistical analysis?

I remember taking a basic sociology class several years ago and whenever the professor made statements about averages relating to socioeconomic factors, people would always raise their hands and talk about how they didn't fit the pattern. Each time my professor would have to explain over and over again how it was merely a statistical average and not a given that every person of status X would have quality Y.

Humans suck at this kind of shit.

yay. hairy bears.

I have two bottles of beer on my counter. One says brown ale and the other says pale ale.

WTF is the difference?

It's just brown/amber malt versus pale malt. There's a difference in taste. Brown ales are popular in England (Newcastle, ftw), while pale ales are less common.

How come you nerds aren't into WH40K?

It was somewhat of a rhetorical question. I wasn't expecting an answer or anything. So yeah, I kinda figured it was all just statistical analysis.

'Look, I understand why people want to label fictional characters with levels and classes. I understand why people have “versus” threads on the message boards.'

Oh shit, he can see us.

"Given all this, some of you are probably wondering what “level” or “class” the Revan in the novels will end up being. STOP! Class and level are game mechanics, not character traits! Saying someone is a 20th level Sentinel in KOTOR is a shorthand way to define their skills and abilities within the confines of a game setting. But this has no relevance in a novel or film."

Raskta Lsu anyone? 😛

I want to quote a lot of things from that article too, except he really underpowers Revan, he just calls him "an incredibly powerful Jedi".

A lot of what he says seems to be pointed at Legend though:

"Let’s set the record straight right now: games and books are NOT the same thing. In a game, we have to constantly progress the power level of a character to keep things interesting. In a book, any character progression is slow and arduous – it often makes up the character arc, which is the whole point of the book. The two mediums are meant to convey different experiences and the two representations of the character cannot simply be laid overtop of each other.

Well, this has provided a metric crapton of previously lacking faith in Mr. K.'s upcoming novel.

I stumbled across this webcomic about a week ago and would like you guys to check it out. The official blurb:

Nathan Sorry is a hapless investment analyst who was supposed to be in the World Trade Center on 9/11 but instead disappears with a new identity and $20 million that he has inadvertently stolen. Two months later he shows up in a small southern town, waiting for his opportunity to flee the country, but his shaky plan begins to unravel as he gets a little too involved with some of the town’s residents.

This is the first work in "graphic novel" form that I've ever enjoyed on its own terms (as opposed to needing to understand a quote from a Star Wars story). I don't have a lot of experience in the genera, but the story-thus-far seems to be exceptionally well conceived; the amount of foreshadowing and number of details that become relevant later in the story (which may be months Real-Time) is staggering. I'd encourage all of you to give it a chance; I have found this a really compelling piece of work and consider it to be among the highest quality (free) artistic creations on the net.

Who gives a shit? Something regarding Revan was posted above you.

I intend not to read the new Revan book.

Karpyshit has consistently disappointed me with his novels and the FAQ page on his website is the single most unpleasant thing I've had to read today.
