Yes I did find it at TFN and you know what, I happened to like those books. Perhaps I find a number of the changes in TWC to be irritating.
I liked the books as well, loved them in fact for their portrayl of Vader. However, Evan Piell's death doesn't instantly make the books non-canon retcons can easily be applied. And I have no problem with beint irritated by the changes, however I get tired of poeple saying that this show is ruining SW for ever and treating it like the devil.

I treat the show like the devil because it's predictable, cliche and boring.
To each their own. But my problem comes when people hate it because it doesn't follow established canon.

without Piel, that series actually never happens... If you cannot name the Jedi to replace Piel (go ahead, name someone, SW didn't..) then the series never happened.
Give Leland Chee some time and it will be fixed.

i read this already. so basically in this instance, Twilight trumps CWC.
tj
how did he know it was his master if his master is unidentified? Like Pavan is just going to listen to some random unidentified guy.
?
I'm not following.
The rest of the continuity of that series will remain intact, though this does leave open the question of who was Jax Pavan's Master.
^^ What this means is that Even Piell was not Jax's Master. His Master, the man who spoke to Jax in that alley, was not Even Piell. Exactly who he was canonically is currently unknown.
tj
exactly, and if the master is unknown, how would Pavan know to LISTEN to the message? Seems like if Rostu comes in, and says "Some unknown guy told me to tell you to hunt down a droid." That Pavan is going to be hesitant to risk his life doing that.
?
I'm still not following. Are you being facetious?
The identity of Jax's Master is unknown to the audience. Obviously Jax knows the identity of his Jedi Master. We, the readers, do not.
i am being facetious. I hope you don't truly think me that dense. I am continuing the frustration expressed by Lucius by mocking the concept of just picking a different Jedi for Pavan's master, despite Piel being mentioned repeatedly throughout the books.
Is everything Piel said in the books retconned?
For instance: Instances where the line is something like "Pavan remember what his master said, "blah blah blah" are obviously now said by unknown fellow.
However in cases, where it says "Pavan remembered what Evan Piel said as they trained in the academy: 'blah blah blah' " are those quotes still attributable to Piel? Since it doesn't say he is the master, just that he said the things?
