But do they really have a choice. No Amish people here in DK, but I think that if an Amish leaves the community they're "outcasts". I doubt many woulkd want to loose their families and friends that way...
It's a little like the problem some 2.-gen immigrants from Arab nations have here in DK. Their parents want them to marry a muslim or someone from the parents' country of birth. Refusing will be a dishonour to the family, and so many 2.-gen are left in a terrible dilemma.
