I've read you can smell 'burning hair' when they actually do the lasering. Is that true?

Honestly the doc has you so paranoid about focusing on the light that you don't worry about smelling anything... You have to focus your eye on this light above you. I started to relax too much and the doc tapped between my eyes really hard with his finger and said "FOCUS!" scared the bejesus out of me. 😂

What about the actual laser - can you tell your eyes are being burnt? Is the laser the stereotypical red?

No, all that you're aware of is that they have a little plunger type thing on your eye and there's pressure on it...the light you see is like a bulleye type shape....not at all like a red beam.

Great. Only three weeks before I can get rid of these damn glasses 🙂

Yup, had my consultation on Saturday. Going to have it done 3 weeks this Monday....hopefully 🙂

congratulations; hope it all goes well. my eyes do not qualify for laser/lasik surgery. must still wear glasses. 🙁

I think we should all go with Raz for this laser thingy. I could operate the laser, finti could serve drinks and Ush could debate the pros and cons of the procedure with everybody else.
