you dont know if the surfer cant be hurt by hulk in a really angry form he was taking surfers power cosmic and not even being effected and he was kicking the surfer around although the guy wasnt being hurt, point is there might be a level of rage to eventually hurt him, are you saying war hulk couldnt kill him?

Don't get me wrong, written to his full potential, Surfer owns Hulk every single time ! No question about it.
But if Thanos can beat Surfer in a fist fight, Hulk can do the same. Period.
Well, I'm not too sure about if you could say that Thanos used his bare hands to beat the Surfer as there appears to be an energy aspect to Thanos' attacks. Theoretically, I suppose the Hulk could reach a level where he could physically harm the Surfer but the circumstances which would ever allow that to happen seem too outlandish to be probable, imo.
(unless you're talking about another fight, in which case disregard these scans and my post 🙂)

It is odd that you hardly see any Marvel character utilize the speedblitz like their contemporaries in DC. I wonder why that is especially when so many of the characters share the same general powersets. 😕
Good question. It's a bit like the Flash dilemma : he should be able to beat almost everybody, but Deathstroke - who's like a million times slower - owns him.
I think it's stupid to make a character too powerful (or too fast), because they become boring pretty quickly. It's even more stupid to give a character certain powers, but never let them use it when they really need it.

He is just a writer with his own view on Thanos, like so many other writers.
If I had a GL ring, the first thing I would do is kill the idea that the Hulk could hold Thanos jockstrap. And I like the Hulk. For some reason I buy him even when Marvel does dumb s**t with him. But by no stretch of the imagination is he as fast as Thanos. He could get angry enough to match Thanos base strength, but by then he should already be dead (no PIS, no CIS). And I won't even bring up the fact that Thanos can increase his physical strength even further with cosmic enrgy.
Back to topic, SS should beat a Hulk that's just witnessed Betty being tortured 10/10.

in thanos quest, runner made thanos look like an incompetent boob for a while using his speed. and the speed he was using was NOT beyond what ss (or any cosmic, really) could bring to bear against thanos.
i'll disagree with the above. i think hulk COULD reach or surpass thanos in strength. champion appeared to be physically more powerful than thanos, so his strength, while great, is not limitless. thanos 'beat' champ by using his brains and stranding him in space. he never 'beat' him in the traditional sense. and there is always that controversial line thanos muttered but having tried to avoid any confontations with hulk, also implying that thanos too thinks hulk might pose a threat physically. he even went as far as comparing champ to what it would be like fighting hulk as champ was readying to burst his force field. 😉
