Our PLANET has survived Extinction Level Events before. LIFE on the other hand, has to deal with all kinds of natural disasters.
Most likely humans will be wiped out by a large asteroid or meteor. Let's face it. The nightsky watch programs receive far too little funding, so a big MF'er could be on its way towards us RIGHT now, and we wouldn't know it before it hit us.
P.S.: Geometrically the Universe IS flat. That doesn't mean gravity doesn't curve it, but that is a whole other story 😄

If we all die, we all die together, no big deal. There will be no headlines, no breaking news stories, as everyone is dead.
Humans annoy me anyway, they just move from place to place soaking up every resource available until eventually there is nothing and then what? They'll figure out a way to move to space and use resources on other planets. If there were ever any Space Invaders they would be us.
When this enevitably does happen, i'm going to be VERY glad i'm not around.
