devil jin leveled a forest in his sleep. and if you are as good as jin w/ martial arts, and have DEVIL POWERS, then you would probable win against some one as strong as nightmare
Dude, Nightmare affected the whole planet with the Evil Seed event, blew away an entire army single handed and has access to all of Soul Edge's considerable power. HOW is Devil Jin going to defeat Nightmare? I ask you to explain this, because MA or no MA, Nightmare is far above and beyond the more experienced warrior, the more powerful warrior and definitely more lethal.
As I said, this has all been argued before, please read the rest of the thread before continuing to debate this.
I see that the Tekken characters are made more powerful then they really are on this forum. To be truthful, the Tekken cast is probably the weakest cast in fighting games (although the characters are not necessarily push overs and are still great, the games are excellent as well).
I believe a slightly moderate skilled swordsman will defeat Devil Jin if he can wield the Soul Edge properly.

It if this was any other tekken character besides jin that has clear feats and doesn't have a jobber aura. Then I'd be more inclined to support said Tekken cahracter since Soul calibur characters a fairly weak.
Firstly, why are Soul Calibur characters weak in your oppinion? 2nd, I've heard you say that Tekken's characters are stronger, Why do you think that, despite the fact that Soul Calibur has far more powerful proven capabilities?

Proven capabilities, what exactly has the cast of Soul Calibur done? Name me some feats without using A>B>C logic and Soul Edge.

Why should he? SC revolves around Soul edge.Besides, this is irrelevant just as Peter Parker without his Spider powers.
Because he claimed the entire cast of SC is signifcantly stronger than that of tekken. Soul Edge's feats would only apply to bosses, and thus it's relevance is minimal to my point.

Thats like me discounting every Mishima and Devil Gene powered feat from Tekken.
Taki's ability to take down demons is a good feat, Siegfried (Young) taking down a bunch of knights from the crusades (This is well before him becoming Nightmare) Mitsirugi surviving a gunshot in the chest and surviving despite being a normal human, and the fact that there was still very little treatment for gunshot wounds back then. Thats to name a very few.

Go ahead, because the logic that floats around here is that boss characters can account for the whole cast. I don't want that to happen in this debate.

And, those put them against the tekken cast how, mitsurugi was defeated by a 16th century firearm and he's like one of the strongest cast memebers. Bottomline is Tekken >>>> Soul Calibur in terms of power.

The fact is that that is exactly what belongs in this debate, because both characters involved have those abilities.

Thats not a bottom line by any stretch, especially since you havn't provided anything at all that compares from run-of-the-mill Tekken characters. Paul and Bryan are the strongest non-bosses IMO, and their feats don't match Astaroth tearing a town apart with his bare hands. I used the Mitsirugi thing as an example of regular human endurance. There was no treatment for gunshot wounds back then, and whats worse is that they where round, and they lodged into the body instead of tearing right through, thats a far worse wound.

Is tearing down a town is supposed impressive? Unless Astroth destroyed said town with one attack. Only then would I be impressed, but to compare mitsurgi surviving muskeet wounds back then (Which doesn't even do as much damage as todays rifiles) to present times. Well, that's just a stretch if you ask me.

So, wait, tearing down an entire town with nothing but your hands and a common axe isnothing, but Paul smashing boulders is impressive?... geeze...
Dependson your definition of damage, todays riflesare overpowered, wounds caused by them arnt ashorrific either, because instead of lodging in and causing considerablecomplications, bullets today simply tear through, and are treatable, awound fromamusket back then had no discernable treatment, the fact that Mitsirugi survived is a pretty rare event.

Firearms back in those days sucked there is no way around that point. They didn't lodge ass deep as mordern bullets since they did not have the same power.
