i'm a bit puzzled by the no black holes. it would impact one's team as much as it would the other team, and they can be closed by powerful enough charatcers as easily as they can be opened.

i don't care, really, i wasn't actually planning on using one -- until i saw how much everybody feared them . . . 😖hifty:

it does raise a question i was meaning to ask: what if ss had NOT opened one in the past. could i claim he had the ability to do so anyway? it would clearly lie within his powerset, but would this need to be backed up to be accepted? i ask because in attempting to be creative, a scenario may come up where a character does something 'new', and i'd like to know if this is frowned on in tournaments. i don't really recall anything like it happening in the tourny i judged . . .

It's your call. Plenty of people have BS'd about power sets in the past. Hell, I embellished plenty about Apollo way back when. If you get caught, your team is probably screwed, simply because you'll lose face for making something up. But at the same time, it might sometimes be worth a shot. Like I said, your call.

And as for creating a feasible strategy that the character has never used before, again, feel free. It will probably be called into question by a good opponent, but people do it with Flash all the time on the forums. 🙄

I vote yes to black holes.

You mean like Morg who's already kicked the sh*t out of Silver Surfer? 😗

Anyway, I don't think there should be black holes and there should also be no worm holes (yes leo, the banning of them would handicap me as well).

Embellishing on Apollo is one thing but when you have Silver Surfer and GL on your team? That's new territory.

it wouldn't be embellishing. it would be examining a powerset and using said powerset in a way that maybe a writer hasn't thought of. it wouldn't be backed by scans, and it would be made known that that was the case. no bs, no embellishment, just creative use of power.

Surfer and GL quite literally have the power to do anything under a not so obvious limit.

that's what i was getting at. it shouldn't be necessary to prove everything. i guess ultimately the judges would decide for themselves the viability of any new attack form. my point is, just because it HASN'T been done, doesn't mean it CAN'T be done . . . 😖hifty:

so when is the deadline to switch, exactly . . .? midnight tonight (est)?

That's how I understand it.

Pfft. Only reason why Surfer won was that he cheapshotted him with that board and Morg was thrown at the planet. Even then Morg shattered his board.

He didn't even try to absorb his blasts with that axe.

Drafts are finalised on Thursday... i would assume that meant sometime in the afternoon (EST) to give everyone a chance to have a last thought on the matter

From what Digi told me, tonight at midnight (est) is the deadline for teams making changes to their rosters.

Wednesday is the last day to switch. At midnight, Eastern US time (the beginning of Thursday) your team is set in stone.

No problem..... i was just trying to buy you some extra time to change your crappy ass team.... but if you want to get curbstomped, hey.... it's your funeral
