Team Tournament Information and Discussion Thread

What kind of info do our characters go into these fights with, in regards to the other team? Just names, or general overviews of their powers or what?

You all go into the fight expecting to be up against blind, three legged elephants.... with shotguns

That way both teams are equally surprised when they see the other

One more question..... Can we prep for all three characters in one post? It wouldn't be against the rules, and we wouldn't actually be "debating" for our partners character. This way, we would get to cover all prepping strategies in one post to avoid as much confusion as possible. 🙂

Good question. We never really specified.

General overview of powers might be too much, and knowing nothing is the other extreme. I think a decent compromise would be if they knew names.

So we'll set it for that unless there's significant opposition to it.

so JUST names? what if the characters recognize the names? ie -- ss and morg. obviously they'll know each other's names so do they know everything else about each other? is this just basically: "they know them and their powers only IF they've met them somewhere before . . ."?

I was gonna ask the same question. For example if we meet Leo's team in the finals, Silver Surfer and Quasar should have a general knowledge of each others powers and potential. They have battled before in comics. So have Thor and Quasar. Ronan and Thor. Couldn't Quasar or Silver Surfer relay some info to their teammates about their competition during prep. Maybe just give some general info to their teammates during prep on the specific character they have fought before about that certain characters power set and what to expect from them.

Yeah , I tried that against Khell last Tourney . Had my team tell his team that Dr Light was a serial rapist.
