That's a myth. There were like...sixty Spanish sailors who washed up on Ireland and most of them died or returned to Spain within a decade. Not enough time or manpower to significantly influence Ireland's genepool.

That's incorrect. The origin of the Ireland is Spanish, Scandinavian, and North African. It was also proven when scientists compared the DNA of people in Ireland with people from Spain, Scandinavia, and North African.
