Tourney Draft #1
Rules:
1. Leave non-draft discussion to the discussion thread.
2. Post a credible bio with your pick (any bio that is publicly accessible (i.e. wiki and others) isn't allowed. Use this thread if you need help with this. Picks without a bio will be ignored and others can take that person. And comic characters only....if they wouldn't be allowed in a vs. thread, they aren't allowed in the tourney.
3. One pick per team. Either member can make the pick.
4. Please specify if it's the "general" character or one of the member-specific ones (i.e. "He's Leo's character"😉. The pick still counts if you don't specify though.
5. I retain right of veto in any scenario, and non-participating members of the Corps that have a working knowledge of the limits also have banning rights. But the limits should be clear enough that we won't have any of that.
Limits:
Character limits – This will be a “herald” level tourney. No amalgams though.
Speed – Flash is banned. As is anyone with Flash-like reflexes feats. Speedblitz is banned for those who can travel at higher-than-light speeds. Reaction time and flight can still be considered for speed purposes in battles.
Power – Generally, “under Thanos” is the rule. We’ll define it more as needed. People that duplicate themselves or copy powers aren’t allowed either.
Magic – Dr. Strange is banned. So is Zatanna, The Doctor, Talisman etc. Too much reality manipulation, and too many crazy loopholes. Matter manip that can effectively end some fights (turning someone into a sandwich) is banned, as are techniques such as Astral Plane projection and stopping time. Magic for more traditional attack/defense is fine. TP, teleportation, etc. are also fine.
If a character can’t breathe in space or something, battle locations will be created to accommodate them.
Specific Banned Characters: Flash, The Speedblitz, Dr. Strange, The Doctor, Thanos, Zatanna, Absorbing Man, Animal Man, Amazo, Talisman, Genis-Vell, Baron Zemo
