I hold murderers responsible for their own crimes, I don't care if they were beaten as kids or not. Same thing here. Those Islamist terrorists made their own bed. What came before is inconsequential and if they want the war to stop they can quit trying to blow innocent people up.

If you want to look at the real problem, it is our protection of Israel that is the base reason. And yes we have far too often taken the wrong side on issues. I blame the religious right for that.

I agree, and believe we should stop being Israel's babysitter. It's been over 50 years now.
I dont think we should do that. I'm a firm believer in the "you break it you buy it rule." Ignoring that area of the world will not fix any problems. We do need to get much of our military out tof Iraq and sign a constitutional agreement with the Iraqi governement stating exactly what the USAS can specifically do and not do. The IRAQIS need to be in control.
This is unfortunate...as all our puppet goverments usualy do so well 🙄

That is the bottom line, my friend. There may be contributing factors, but the final responsibility for a person's / group's / country's actions rests with that person / group / country. If you are going to hold the United States responsible for the behavior of terrorists, than you might as well (eg) hold the Central Park jogger responsible for what happened to her because she chose to jog alone at night (which, admittedly, was not the wisest thing to do), or a woman responsible for being raped because she wore her skirt too tight.

Japan's doing pretty good, Germany isn't half bad either. Granted it took quite a few years in either case, but America can do a decent job of nationbuilding.
