You can say anything you want in the OTF, start more or less any thread you want.The OTF couldn't have a thread about politics because it'd be moved to the GDF, as that's where it belongs. The OTF can LITERALLY be about anything, but it's not. It's about frivolous chitter chatter (that's not meant in a negative way) and throwaway threads. That's what it's for.
As a result, people post here if they don't have what it takes (whatever that may mean) to post regularly, respectfully and intelligently elsewhere.

Sure, it's nice to meet people you may get along with, but that's not why a majority of KMC's more intelligent members (arguable) join. It's because they are here to discuss things.
For example; Ladyluck, right? She's a really nice girl from what I've seen. Respectful, polite, well mannered etc. However, she isn't exactly known across KMC's boards for contributions to the forum. She spends her time here because she uses KMC mainly as a talking point, and that's fine, but it's secondary. It's not what this forum is for. So by that rationale it's silly to call people pivotal to KMC when all they do here is chat. You would have to make the effort to visit the OTF regularly to know who they are, they haven't made any impact.

I can see this getting confusing so I'll say it again.
Forget about what purpose the OTF has for a second, ok? Good. The thread is about KMC's Hall of Fame and Vinny appears to be rather legit in promoting it. You cannot expect it to be taken seriously when the results are derived from nothing more than who likes who a lot. The OTF is for people to turn up and chat in an idle manner, voted for by people who do the same. If you are referring to the OTF Hall of Fame, then fine, because it can't credibly be anything else.

Once again, if someone was Truly a good poster, they would just sit in one forum always. So if people wanted to have fun in the other forums, they would come here and vote.
Aspect? That's all this is, which is my point. It can't realistically be anything else, because it's just not accurate to the supposed goal.
That said, it's only OTFers who would even seriously take part in this, because most of KMCs older members would find it too stupid or not care. No disrespect meant to OTFers, but that's how it is. Only OTFers care.

What kind of logic are you using? Most people only dwell in here a lot because they don't like/enjoy/have what it takes to partake in long, drawn out discussions. They're here to chit chat with buddies which, as I've said, is perfectly fine. It's just nuts to assume that people doing that are as valuable to KMC as people who are all over the place taking part in multiple threads, discussions and are keeping the forums active.
