Are you kidding? The bible's got it all - sex, violence, romance, adventure. And all that with morals and inspiration. good stuff. 😉

Sounds a little like the grandfather justifying interest in the book to his grandson.

Why do people believe that The Bible is inerrant?

Because it is given by inspiration of God.

A collection of documents - perhaps inspired by God, but undoubtedly written by fallible humans - not necessarily infallible and inerrant.

Stupid humans. Messin' up the Bible like that sly

Here's how it goes: The Bible contains the infallible word of God. Therefore, all prophecies, revelations, and commandments given in it are infallible. Therefore, Paul singles out what is infallible in his teaching and what is not. So technically the Bible itself is not infallible, just what is inspired by God.

How do u know whats inspired by God n wats not ?

Because prophecy, revelations, and commandments are very distinct.

But.. it's prophecy's are quite fallible.

Ever heard of the city of Tyre? That city proves it's fallible.

Heard of Tyre? Yes. Proves prophecy fallible? No.

Prophecies, revelations, and commandments are nice n stuff, but i prefer facts

And the facts are accurate. They tell a true story.

Oh but it does.

Easiest example to show just how wrong and full of total bullshit the bible is.

Actually, it doesn't. You're welcome to try if you're that confident.

REAAAAALLYYYYYYYY?????????

lol, all proof of inspiration by god comes form the bible. theres no historical evidence of the inspiration for the bible coming FROM GOD, after all no 1 saw god. furthermore, the only ones who even vaguely claimed supernatural occurances happened with the saints/jesus, were christians and all other non christian testimony is false and wrongly/falsely interpreted by christian themselves to be seen that way. tell me of anything other than the dum/biased links JIA gives and the BIBLE quotes, that proves that the bible's writers and jesus were INSPIRED by god himself.{oddly enough, youd have to prove a direct observable link between god and those people, and that has never been done. furthermore, if u rely on PROHECY, ud be wrong as most prophecies have been proven wrong and the few who are claimed to have happened are mostly oppurtunistic interpretations of vague events to match the interpretation of even more vague verses}.

im not holding my breath.
