The Samurai RP Thread

Kuro-u bowed to the council as the group entered, there was 3 times as many guards in the room as there had been when she'd had the audience with Tomoko. "Forgive the interruption in your schedule my lords, but we have a pressing matter which needs to be discussed as you may have already caught light of."

The senior council member spoke first as he nodded, "Yes, we know of the foreigners. Thankyou for escorting them to us Kuro-u...now we wish to hear from their representation."

Kuro-u bowed slightly in both thanks and recognition, taking a spot near the middle of the room and ushering Jiang to do the same. No Uzentaki had been within their borders within some years and the last things the Shinzi people needed was the death of their ruling council and a war on their hands.

Nakamura kept quiet, the last thing he wanted to do was offend anyone. He kept his hands at his sides, his two Guard Samurai seemed to be keeping quiet as well... good. Now, he looked over at this lady. Who was she? Keeping his cool he looked at her and spoke, "If you must know who I am I will tell you. I am Nakamura Utenzaki, lord of the Utenzaki clan. I expect that this is no trap?" He asked, after all, there was a war going on and the last thing he needed to do now was die. His two guards became more alert when he said this, perhaps they expected a trap? No, they were just worried. As they turned and walked down yet another corridor, Nakamura began to wonder. This time is more complex than I expected. Perhaps it is a secert base held by the Shinzi? I suppose I'll find out. His two swords were at his sides, and if needed, he would use them. But for now, he deicded to be as friendly and respectable as possible.

Perfect. The enemy ninja were slowly being driven back, it looked to be a glorious victory for the Utenzaki forces. Two Utenzaki guards patrolled a hallway, and four more samurai lay in a trap. Eighteen ninja charged down the hallway, the two guards responded by throwing their spears at them. The spears impaled a total of three people. The guards then drew their swords and the ambush party jumped out from a room, they had the ninja trapped. One of the Utenzaki men fell before a barrage of shuriken. As the ninja soon began to drop, even more enemies sprung out from the opposite side of the hallway. Another Utenzaki samurai dropped, three swords sticking out of his chest. The men knew that they were going to die, so they put up the best fight they could. Eight ninja fell before one of the Utenzaki, but he was soon cut down. The castle was at an even match between the Utenzaki forces and the ninja. Yet, the odds weren't looking so good.

Jiang bowed and then moved next to Kuro-u he watched the the man who annouced himself to be Nakamura Utenzaki of the Utenzaki clan he had his hand on his swords hilt he would draw it out if it came to a fight, though he dare not bare it infront on the council members

(Whos gonan type for the council)

(I will...)

The council member remained placid as he spoke and kept an eye on the foreigners as well as a reaction (if any) from his own Shinzi people, "We are a neutral clan as you well know, we would not wish to trap you let alone prevoke any kind of attacks from you or your people."

Jiang stood still still cluching his sword hilt he could not take his eyes off of Utenzaki clan lord. Why did they want to come to are town... Jiang thought looking at his two guards, he lent over to Lady Kuro-u and whispered "his 2 guards are fairly well armed" he said looking at all there weaponary

"As am I..." Kuro-u reminded him. Nothing would stop her from harming the Uzentaki foreigners if given the go ahead from any of the council. Her sword drawn at her side, she was almost unbeatable.

Jiang stood now in total silence waiting for what the council would decide

Another council member spoke then once they'd spoken in amoungst themselves, "Tell us...what is your purpose for this audience. We have heard many a rumour but we must hear this from you."

Yasu gave the signal and the trap sprung into action perfectly, the dozen or so Ito soldiers had no idea what was happening. Death was all around as Yasu strode into the clearing where they had caught the unsuspecting Ito warriors. An Ito Samurai charged at him shouting his battle cry, he swung at Yasu but Yasu deflected the blow with his Odachi and responded by landing his blade at the base of the samurais neck burying the sword with such force that it reached the mans stomach before he had to use his foot to remove the now lifeless body from his blade. Marching on with a fearsome look on his face he saw one of his own samurai engaged in a fight with one of the few remaining Ito soldiers, and his man was losing. “Help me…” the samurai pleaded to him as he was being pushed back by the Itos blade. Yasu turned away from the man leaving him to his fate. Weakness was something he would not tolerate. He heard the scream of pain from his man and turned to see the Ito plunge his sword into his chest. Yasu moved swiftly taking the Ito by surprise and finishing him swiftly. He slumped to the ground lifeless. Looking around he saw the battle was over; the dead littered the small clearing. Okan walked up to him spattered with blood, “General one of the Ito escaped on his horse in the confusion.”

“Run him down” Yasu replied “no one leaves here alive”

“Hai” Okan replied and with a bow he was off, Yasu saw him leap on to the back of his horse and dash off into the woods. Yasu returned to his camp feeling invigorated full of energy to continue the day. One of his lieutenants moved into sight and swiftly to his side “General this message came from lord Moto while you were gone.” Yasu’s eyes scanned the letter “Damn” he muttered to himself

“ready my horse Lord Moto required my presence at the castle. I will go on my own you take command and continue with the ranging.

“Hai” the lieutenant replied as Yasu saddled his horse, what was going on this time, he thought, it was time for the Moto to apply some military force, the time for talking was over.

Haritomo returned to his room from the balcony and proceeded down stairs to the breakfast room, and had just settled in when a samurai stumbled in, "What the hell are you doing in here samurai?" The samurai bowed and recalled the tale of the Moto's ambush. Waving the samurai away he said to himself, "So it is war..."

Jiang grew tired of waiting for them to come up with an excuse but he knew the punishment would be server if he was to run his mouth of now

Orin, not 'directly' disobeying Lady Kuro-u's orders, waited outside of the Council room. He was having a small conversation, noting the porvisions we have left, and what our battle plans were if the Utenzaki decided to attack. Orin side and walked into the middle of the camp, and started to practice his Lance Forms.

Jiang grew continually impatient with the councils inability to decide on anything there and then, though he would not speak his mind ,he hoped to one day be on the council, his face show'd what he felt

Nakamura let a sly grin form over his face, so it wasn't a trap. "I have come to ask for shelter for at least two days. I am expecting a message soon... if it is possible for a place to keep me and my army." He quickly said, making sure it sounded official. If only the Shinzi became allies, then the Inuzuki would be throughouly defeated... he then wondered about how the castle would hold against the attack. They will hold, my samurai have never failed me. He looked over at the impatient one, Jiang. He looked intelligent but had no patience whatsoever... Impatience is a weakness in the mind. He remembered his father once saying that. He then turned towards the council ready for an answer.

Jiang saw Nakamura look over to him, he shot a look back. i must remember my meditation he said closed his eyes and began to breath deeply.

"The council cannot let them stay here" he thought to himself "we don't want to be seen as the enemy to all of the other clans" he said to Lady Kuro-u

"We are well known for our neutrality Jiang...be patient...now return to your post at the other side of the room."

The council murmured as the Uzentaki lord spoke, one of the council members spoke and seemed quite concerned.
To Kuro-u's surprise the council member approached her and smiled thinly, she could feel his tense aura and inclined her head slightly in a mark of respect more than anything else.
He sighed slightly and began to speak in code, "The bird that scurries to the nest not able to fly wants in with those that are able to soar high above the clouds. What should the badger do? Bury the bird underground or allow it to learn to soar?"
Kuro-u's brow furrowed and she nodded slightly, taking in the entire message and pondering for a moment, then beginning to speak.
"The badger is wise...however the bird and his companions must be given due warning upon entrance of the nest...they can stay but not learn to soar."
The council members eyes lit up and he chuckled while smiling, "You see Kuro-u...this is why you are so highly regarded among our people."
Kuro-u inclined her head as the council member returned and spread the idea through the board.
The entire council seemed impressed and the head member stood, "We will allow you to stay for no more than 3 days as of this eve, you will have quarter for your army in a sectioned off area of the village. You will have limited contact with our people, if you wish to have another audience with the council then you must send for Lady Kuro-u who stands to your left at the center of the room." He paused and drew breath, "If you do not agree with our terms then you must leave our territory immediately or suffer the end of our warriors swords."

At the mere mention of action every guard including Kuro-u partially unsheathed their gleaming weapons in preparation for the worst.

Orin, finally finishing his twenty forms of Lance-ery ( 😛), returned to his position next to the guards by the door. He was going to do some spying later on, at the Utenzaki encampment, but that would have to wait.

(Night all.)

Jiang reurned to his post and walked over to Orin "how have yo been Orin" he said with a smile

Kisho stood within the confines of the Ito clan's headquarters (best word I could think of). He had a pair of bokken (wooden swords) shaped just like his pair of weapons, and a blindfold covered his eyes. He twitched his head to the right and blocked the attack of one of his opponents with the shorter sword, swiftly returning the favor with the longer one. He spun to face what was his left and thrust the longer sword into someone's stomach, causing him to grunt with pain. Then he thrust his swords to either side, hitting the last two of his opponents.
He removed the blindfold to look at the four students. They lay on the ground clutching various body parts. Kisho simply said, "You need to practice more. You cannot let your opponent get away unscathed, especially when they are blind." He then helped them up, one at a time, so that they could continue the lesson, but one of his generals interfered. "We will continue this lesson later," Kisho said, dismissing the four.
Turning to his general, he asked, "What news do you bring?"
"The Moto clan is growing braver by the moment. They've attempted assassinating some of our captains, and they even tried going after me." He leaned closer and whispered, "They've employed ninjas, sir."
"Ninjas? This is not good." Kisho pondered the situation for a short while. "If they have the ninjas on their side, even I'm in trouble." He said to his general, "Tell all officers to be on their guard at all times. We need to be more careful in these times, for enemies could be lurking around any corner."
"Yes, sir." The general bowed, then ran off to relay the command.

(Ok, so I saw that the previous Ito leader had a problem with ninjas, so I guess I'll just pick up on that.)

Haritomo approached the clan leader, Junichi, "Master Ito," said Haritomo, bowing, "I bring bad news..." "What is this bad news you speak of General Murakami?" "The~" Just then five shriken implanted themselves in Haritomo's neck, and he fell to the ground. General Murakami was dead from over poisoning as vomit slowly seeped out his mouth as his lifeless body lay on the floor. Junichi quickly unsheathed his katana, and as he was doing so, through it at the ninja clinging to the ceiling. It hit him square in the head, he fell, and Junichi slowly removed his katana from it, with a solemn look on his face, he wore the insignia of the Moto, and now he understood it all. Suddenly, as he had expected, ten ninja surrounded Junichi. He raised Shin (his katana) and before any one of the ninja could strike him one of them was symmetrically cut in half. Three ninja charged Junichi from the rear, he spun and cut them in half. The six others threw shriken at him, but he deflected all with Shin, and then he picked up the table in front of him and hurled it at the ninjas. Three of them fell to the ground, the other three tried to escape. Junichi decapitated the three pinned to the wall by the table, and figured the other three would be dealt with by his guards. He strolled into the hall and found two of his greatest teachers with blood on their swords and grins on their faces. Junichi, though, was serious as he stated, "Lord Murakami is dead." The two teachers bowed their heads, understanding the situation." Junichi then spoke, " Post twice the guards at all the castles entrances, make sure no one comes in without you knowing who they are." Junichi had been speaking to the first of the teachers, to the other he said, "As for you, you shall prepare the army, and await further orders. I will pay a visit to Lord Utenzaki..." Junichi walked away down the hall before the teachers could show their responses. As he exited the castle onto the courtyard samurai and servants alike stared at his blood stained kimono, but Junichi couldn't care less he briskly ordered a stable boy to lead the best horse out of the stable, the stable boy was about to the saddle the horse when Junichi said, "No, every second counts, young man." Then he rode alone towards the Shinzi village with no armor...

Kuro-u looked to the council doors as they slid open, one of her scouts nodded to her and she bowed slightly to the council and moved to the young scout who informed her of the foreigner that had just arrived on horseback.
She moved as swiftly as the wind alongside her scout, out into the open air of the night and toward the stables where the foreigner awaited.
