Its very difficult to explain. However, being totally ignorant of God, thinking you are your own master can be a good feeling, but I always found that it was wanting, questinos and feelings that need answer.

With God, you feel as if your safe. (Thats the best word for it) but also accountable, it makes you wake up to the fact that you dont have the right to act as you choose and have responsibilities, not just to God but to other people....

Thats a very bad explanation of the feeling. I will try again when I put more thoguht into it.

um thats called growing up and understanding you can't go around whacking people with a metal bar and getting away with it, thats called responsibilities.

For some reason if five people threatened to kill me with a gun I'd feel more safe in control of something to protect myself with than feeling god will "protect" me

You totally misunderstand what I mean.

Explain how then 🙂

That is very poorly written, basically saying that I don't have responsibilities and I can do what ever I want. I think I know what you are trying to say but that is still a bad example because I feel that way now and even more so and there are billions of people that do that don't believe in God or Jesus. If you had to believe in Jesus to feel this way then what are the other 4.5 billion people doing?

It is very purely written, and it wasn't directed at you, but how I felt, the you meant I...sorry, its a difficult one.

it was badly written dude

You cannot relate to God by feelings, you can only relate to God by faith.

i tried faith man i got no luv outta it 🙁

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard, so Jesus is not love?

That is why you believe that God has not responded to your prayer. Everytime I tell how something about how God operates you call it dumb (and you wonder why you have issues with God). I told you before that the failure is on your side not God's. I told you before that you have issues. You need to get yourself together, look in the mirror then admit that you are the problem not God. Once you do that (you know get real and honest with yourself) then you will be a candidate for hearing from God. But you need to stop blaming God (or anyone else you might be blaming) for your problems. I perceive from my interactions with you on this forum that you have a short fuse. You cannot take critcism. So you need to deal with your anger issues as well.

Recap:
1) Humble yourself before God.
2) Accept responsibility for your problems and your actions.
3) Admit that your life is the product of the decisions that you have made thus far.
4) Stop blaming other people for your problems, but instead forgive them and release them from any liability (even if they have wronged you deeply). Let them go.
5) Ask Jesus Christ to forgive you for all of your sins, and come into your heart and give you eternal life.
6) Then ask Jesus to fill you with His Holy Spirit.
7) Finally, get yourself a King James Bible and began reading it, starting with the gospel according to John. Ask God in Jesus Name to lead you to a good church. Ask God for wisdom and thank Him daily for everything that He does for you that you cannot see.

You still didn't answer my question.

😆 I have a short fuse, most people say that I'm too laid back and these are the people that deal with me on a day to day basis. I do not take it lightly when someone calls me a liar, which is something that I do not sit back and take at all. I take full responsibilities for my actions, which is why I don't believe in God. The reason why I say that is the dumbest thing I've heard is the way you view God and his actions and how so far off you are from what Christians have told me throughout my 35 years and talking with all walks for life and professions and from coast to coast and across the world.

1. I have and nothing
2. I have and do all the time, even to a fault.
3. That is a given, my experiences are the sum total of what I am.
4. I'm not, and if they apologize for wronging me then I do forgive them.
5. I have and nothing
6. I have read the Old and New Testament several times and many of the scriptures as well as other religious text. I have gone to church many times and go with my wife.

Your situation is an anomaly. You blame God for your own failure.

What failure, that God didn't answer my prayer? How is my situation an anomaly, that I did what I was supposed to do and nothing happened? I don't blame God for anything, I'm not mad at him, despise him or anything. At the time I was because I still belived in him but now I know that it was like being mad at Santa Clause.

How do you know that God didn't answer your prayer? (Remember: we do not contact God with our feelings, we contact and interact with God by faith).

So you are saying that all the accounts of people talking to God and have the feeling of hope and love come over them and a sense of peace is not a feeling and they are not communicating with God?

So if I'm to understand you, someone must first have faith in God before he will answer your prayers or communicate with you? What about all those that didn't believe in God until some tragic event happened in their life and now they have faith, did God communicate with them before they had faith?

Unless God sovereignly elects to intervene in a person's life without that person's consent, the usual manner in which God reveals Himself/His Presence is through the faith of the individual. Without faith it is impossible to please God, those who come to God must believe that He is (i.e. that He exists), and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Yes, faith always precedes or goes hand-in-hand with answered prayer. Most prayers are not answered over night. Many prayers (depending on the request) can take years to come to pass because the answer is contingent on or predicated on the faith of the individual. Jesus repeatedly told people Whom He ministered to, "According to you faith be it unto you." Faith can be a greater or lesser degree at any given time. In addition, there are things that can hamper or hinder the answer from getting to you. For example, unforgiveness, hate, not walking in love, or other willful sins. You must have a clear conscience before God before making your requests to Him. Actually, you need to be born again if you want God to answer your prayers.
